This little diamond in the rough is world class iscorama glass rehoused into a beautiful new housing with an actual Iris stage added to the build. I think it was repurposed for optical printing which is why they installed an Iris which is pretty much unheard of in the realms of these funky anamorphic adapters we all are obsessed over. Never seen anything like it and don't think I'll see another one again. I can't say for certain but this may be a one of a kind or part of a pair of lenses that were custom rehoused and repurposed by the post house that used it for optical work back in the good old film days. It's a top notch pro job and if anyone knows more about the history of this beauty I'd love to hear about it. It's the kind of glass you just nerd out about all day and stare at endlessly. Ohhh pretty pretty glass. How special you are!

Hi guys looking to get a budged friendly looking at FEELWORLD F7 7 it has only HDMI connection where BMCC has SDI i am looking use hdmi to sdi converter do you guys see any issues here with 50 dollars  converters or just get a proper sdi monitor.

I hear you i have kowa B&H i did a test with wide angle lens and kowa kowa just has this cinematic fell and look right out of camera

So you guys you still interested in anamorphic adapters. Still worth it going through all the trouble even thought its a attachment and not a lens with a mount.

Hi guy i have set o yahical ml 2.8 lenses what do you think about De-Clicking lenses is it something you would do. I just did it to my 135mm its simple but i ind iris to be really smooth and now i can get really good control of the iris i mean like milliliter movements of iris.

So what is the best way to use  variable nd filter. Do you open you IRS on the lens to what you like and then use the ND or set the ND to lowest setting and use your lens to adjust how much light come in and if zebras are showing

Hi guys i would like to get in to this television, shooting, graphic industry working for a small or big television company/studio. I really don't have any experience in this industry. I did go to film school back in 2003 for a year it was OK interesting my major was sound design and editing. I have my own home studio with Pro grading monitor with Wave - Tangent black magic cinema camera some prime lenses. For past years i been learning color grading, motion design, cinematography, shooting and editing on my own and its gong good. Now i would like to break in to the industry. When research jobs in my area Toronto area of course studios are looking demo reel should i show them my personal work or should i shoot few fake commercials and ew music videos go with that how would you approach this situation

Thanks guys so voice that was captured on set is used in final film and not recorded in post?

I been watching so many short film and have noticed that lots of them use sounds captured on set by the camera or microphone f some sort and that just takes me right out of the film. because it does not sound right. I know that sound fx like footsteps and so on are done in post but is it same for voice do they capture voice ob set then they do one more final pass in the studio?
