No as the flange distance is wrong. Better to trade your Speedbooster for an EF version and then convert your CY lenses to EF with adapters.

That sucks, so basicly with EF Speedbooster i will be able to use my yashica lenses with adapter?

  2. Well how does one afford their gear simple work. I am not in the industry but have family 3 kids wife and full time job in trade job its ok pay keep she family feed and happy pays the bills with left over for coffee that money if for the family i don't use that for any gear. The way i afford my gear is is by working weekends for example last month i bought  Aputure VS-5 V-Screen 600 dollars shit load of money for me but went to temp agency did 3 days work 12 shifts and there you go if you want something you will find the way. And other way is when tax returns role by i usually get around 3k if there are no bills than i buy something bigish.

Wit this method i have full dedicated color grading studio in my apartment, BMCC camera, with nice set of yashica primes ect ect.

And i don't advise to buy expensive gear on credit if you are not making good money already and have connections

    or

    ;)

I think only VR stands to benefit from 8K.

    Cinema doesn't need it.

However, in 10 years we might all be strapped into our VR headsets for watching movies... Even at the cinema!

I'm very impressed with how immersive VR is when done right. It is here to stay, unlike 3D.

But watching 8K on a flat screen from a distance is pointless... Human eye just isn't up to it.

I don't think we will ever watch films in VR well i don't i will just not the same experience human are social animals we like to watch film together be together and in my experience with VR is solitary experience and lets not forget that 20% of population cant handle VR motion sickness if VR ever takes off it will be in Games, architectural design and real estate. And watching thing in 8k that is few cm from your eyes i see lots of problems mentally and physically. PS turning your head around in 360 watching Jurassic park looking for dinosaurs looking up and down and shit i just don't see it.

Unless you like to see Jeff in 8k 360 up close and personal ;)

  5. Any monitor is good for video editing you are just editing but color accurate monitor I would stay away from benq monitors for any color accurate work they simply are not accurate  if money is not an option i would get EIZO or FSI monitors these are the only two monitor brands you should be considering for any kind of color correction and grading workflow. Plus you will need calibration device to calibrate your monitor for color accurate work that is another ball game. PS if you are feeding your monitor via graphic card then your monitor will not be 10bit since your card is not 10 bit what you need is something like black magic mini or video card that supports 10 bit.

  6. Any info on this lens guys.

This little diamond in the rough is world class iscorama glass rehoused into a beautiful new housing with an actual Iris stage added to the build. I think it was repurposed for optical printing which is why they installed an Iris which is pretty much unheard of in the realms of these funky anamorphic adapters we all are obsessed over. Never seen anything like it and don't think I'll see another one again. I can't say for certain but this may be a one of a kind or part of a pair of lenses that were custom rehoused and repurposed by the post house that used it for optical work back in the good old film days. It's a top notch pro job and if anyone knows more about the history of this beauty I'd love to hear about it. It's the kind of glass you just nerd out about all day and stare at endlessly. Ohhh pretty pretty glass. How special you are!

  9. I was just about to subscribe to you channel but you went wayyyy of base dude with that 'scripture late at night when i listen to tech channels i really don't want to hear Jesus or any religion staff its like you are pushing it on us like a hidden advertising. Stick to technology if its important to you but not to us and some of us are not christian or catholic. People get offended really easy when it comes to religion best thing is to keep in your home to your self.

Well it all comes down to what you pay for. Cheap is crap, big Dollar equals Big Results. Walmart stuff, and well top end stuff. Your call.

I never know you need some special tools
