watermark it with the person who signed the NDA's name on it and give it to them low resolution? that's how i get screener material that hasn't been released yet. if it gets out, someone gets sued, heads roll, people jump off balconies etc.

That's incorrect. The gaps between pixels vary. Thus one manufacturing technique or technology does not make the same pixel size as another.
 
For example on the Blackmagic Production Camera with an 8MP APS-C sized sensor, the pixels are tiny due to large amounts of space on the front-side surface of the chip taken up by global shutter wiring.
 
And subsequent refining of 24MP APS-C sensors from Sony, et al have produced larger pixels by reducing the gap between pixels and improving the design of the micro lenses which channel light into each pixel.

I'm not a plus member and I could download the 4K once I logged in with my free account.

I don't need to download any 4K files to know that this thing is going to start floating around on quite a few 3-axis gimbals and multi-rotor copters ;-)

So @andrew Reid did you get your hands on the lx100 and got to shoot with it?

Only one question:
Can you mount it on Panasonic LX100? :D

And remember that if someone comes out with a speedbooster for the A7s you will be able to get close to that look for just a few Thousands.

This camera is worth it for the lens alone.  I don't have anything that fast/wide for my GH4. 

Here's what I think is interesting about this camera. Panasonic is reducing the number of interchangeable lens lines that it has. The GF has gone, there won't be a successor to the G6 or GX7 (if we can believe anything on 43rumors....), so in future it will just be GH and GM. 
 
And this cam, the LX100, is the missing midrange cam, which inherits many of the exciting features from the flagship. This is where the GX8 or whatever should have been. And Panasonic is saying to us, how much do you really need to swap lenses around? Do you really enjoy messing around with adaptors, carrying heavy glass around etc etc? Because we're going to offer you the camera and the lens, for the same amount as you would have paid just for the lens, and in a package that is somehow pocketable. It's a kind of test. Is the flexibility of an interchangeable lens system so important to you that you would pass up a deal like this?
 
I was weighing up buying a GH4 and the 12-35 2.8. Now I think I'll just get this.

To encode to h265, first you need is codecs. Here it´s codecs and an app https://www.videolan.org/developers/x265.html

12-35mm f2.8 is made by Panasonic and LX100 has cheap Leica lens.. :blink: :lol:

Tiffen make superb 43mm ND filters so no problems there use them !

I loved the design, it's like the GM1 in the form of a phone but with a more modern angled edges, Panasonic has been nailing lately.

Just add 150 euro and you will have Leica badge also on the body (not only lens):

This is the best new camera of 2010!

At least use a Vaio notebook to change the .txt file!!!!  :P
