Considering he was using 180deg shutter angle it’s actually not that bad.
Good thing about the gyro stabilisation like this in the BM and the Sony version cameras is that, unlike IBIS, it is non-destructive to the image so you can tweak it later.
That’s not only good for the now but it also means if someone does come up with a better method then you can re-process the files and rescue or improve shots.
With IBIS, those warps are there for good.

You are the happy mate on the right? Happy aura is always a big welcome. No slomo though and no walking shots from the back. I'd say  3min super wide angle super hero micro flick will do:)

    1st shooting session last night.
What a memorable show! The Waterboys version 2024 is a terrific must. Their performance on stage is one of the best gigs I've ever seen in my life... To hear this Scottish-Irish band playing hits such as (let's only mention a couple!) 'AND A BANG ON THE EAR' or 'THE PAN WITHIN' live is simply thrilling... literally. One of the best bands ever. Mike Scott is a star of the history of folk rock in the body of a man. The older the best, as I had opportunity to personally let him know he is like Port wine, today : )

BTW I have a chance to offer to this community... To those who will be interested to locally shoot their concerts, we can launch a footage archive of their performances in the coming years. PM me as you wish on this purpose of mine launched here now. I think these boards should be more mutual cooperation of this gang's gigs than has rarely been TBH :- )

And I will tell you the only beef against the usual mirrorless toys ; ) Bulky and weight. Light glass without cumbersome adapters is a bless... ; ) Osmo Pocket : D saved us a lot of times! Incredible tool!
All the rest has no challenge. Monitor, menus and BRAW have no competitor and are what a cinema camera should be.

Blackmagic Design is still today what RED was not completely able to deliver at least to the wildest expectations, the true indie cinema camera is theirs.
RED is nowadays mainstream and a guess, since Nikon has bought the brand. Better than any unknown hands, IMO Jim and Jarred honoured their commitment with this industry. Made a maninstream camera company anyway. And the purchase by Nikon only proves it.
Hope Blackmagic will stand at our side though. Reason why I usually tend to buy any great sale signed by them. On the due course, again as of now when I write these lines. I even believe every indie should have no reason to not have one if not a few of their unique offer. Who else? No one else.

To me, reports of no overheating no less but price places it at the Z8 range, it's pricey for now IMO. It will come to the territory of $2K-2.5K soon, though... Then it will become harder to not buy it.
I've just purchased the BMCC6K-FF new for €1444.54... Pretty neat and impossible to miss it! ;- )

Another GH7 + LogC and ARRI discussion..
TLDR; Brady used the combo on two narrative projects, they matched up nicely in post (but not perfectly), and he sees it as a great option for a B-cam to an Alexa if you didn't have the budget for two Alexas.
There's some side-by-sides in the video, including graded to match and also not.

Emanuel reacted to hojomo in Panasonic S5 - "stickier" people continuous autofocus?
Even with the addition of PDAF in the S5II/X/S9, Panasonic FF C-AF is not what anyone should describe as 'sticky'. The S5 is even worse unfortunately. I don't think you can get much out of it in that regard, but otherwise it is a good camera.
Panasonic is near/at the bottom of the pile of continuous autofocus, tracking moving objects (same as Fuji?). Only exception would be G9 and now G7, but I'd imagine OM still does better there.
Sony, Canon and Nikon can sell you cameras for that.

Imperfections, flaws are not necessarily unaesthetic but the opposite when they can be creatively worked into the aesthetic object and serve the subject included.

Speaking of Tokyo, MapCamera have opened up reservations for the Z6iii this morning.

The base price of ¥356,400 equates to a “don’t stop at that counter at the airport” price of £1815.00
The “stop at the counter price” would therefore be £2170.00
Depending on your preference for that counter at the airport, that is either a £984(35%) or £629(22.5%) saving on the UK price of £2799.

Is the 4K raw downsampled from 6K, thus not really raw?

As the 4032 x 2268 RAW video is listed as [FX] (full-frame) in the tables, I think it probably is down-sampled - a couple of pages from the Z6 iii manual:

Too clinical to me. Not something I expect from a narrative feature.

Good article about the shooting process here
    https://www.leitz-cine.com/interview/lukasz-zal-psc
As with 'Belgravia' it was shot on a Venice.
Although, going the Shane Meadows route, they had ten of them rolling simultaneously.

One of the best uses of a clinical sharp image recently has been Zone of Interest.
    It's truly chilling.
The clinical, clean, 'psychopathic' deep depth of field extenuates the banality of evil, and there is something very Nazi-ish about hyper crisp detail that really suits the mood.
But then I never expect anything less than genius from Jonathan Glazer.
    Oscar was well deserved.
Just proves that even anti-cinematic cinematography has a place... Sometimes.

And you are fairly right! : ) No vote still applies ; ) I've just added it, as said in Europa/Zentropa (1991) 'cause the truth resides with those who take sides, so I can't help myself and I am actually sick of some fallacy the geek inside us hints our inner side to believe : D

I don't think many people starting out are considering DSLRs over mirrorless.
The stuff I see, even a bargain like a $1k D850 just seems to sit on the store shelves.
The Z6 III isn't for people starting out anyway, it is aimed at existing Nikon DSLR users and owners of the Z6, and Z6 II... Plus they are hopeful a bunch of people might switch from other manufacturers, but it would be a brave beginner who drops $2.5k on their first camera body and a further $3k on lenses.
So the $1500-2000 market and beginner market are two very different things.
I am talking about the $1500-2000 range of enthusiasts who aren't beginners.
The Z6 III is priced about $1000 too high for them especially in the UK.
They have a massive range of mirrorless cameras to choose from on the used camera market.
    X-H2, X-H2S, GH6, A7 IV, A7S II, A7R II, A7R III, A7C, Z6 II, there's loads...
Over at WEX they even have a special Z6 II Ukraine War Edition:

... It's sponsored by Leica, with pretty Sony crayon mode dial colours.
Saw a GFX 50S for £1200 the other day, so if we take video out of the equation for these people... And realise they can go medium format 50 megapixel for that price... the Z6 III doesn't even come into their thinking at all. Why pay double the price for half the image quality?

The key to this approach is to maximise the savings to offset the cost of the trip to Japan so you get together a massive and definitive list of everything camera and lens wise that you will ever, ever, ever need and buy it in one go.
It has to be all the stuff you'll ever need though so you won't ever have to buy anything else ever again in your photographic career.
I've done that on fourteen different occasions now.
