Interesting and comprehensive analysis of GoPro from an economics / business point of view.  It's 43 minutes long, but is in plain English and well constructed.
It's interesting how they've managed to stabilise in the last few years and are now segmenting their lineup, which seems to be strategy that protects them from smartphones and other market pressures.
Pity they didn't do that a decade ago...

It does have two but with it being made for broadcast it is expressed as gain (0db and 18db in this case).

Actually, here's my nomination for best-bang-for-buck camera nowadays - the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 just announced by BM.
Here's why:
It's tiny, and fits the entire ecosystem of the previous Micro models, including battery type (Canon LP-E6) It can record BRAW up to DCI 4K60 to USB-C....    so you don't need a big expensive external recorder, you can use any old HDMI monitor you like! BM specifies 13 stops of DR, the same as all their previous cinema cameras, and up from the 11 stops they quoted for the previous Micro Studio camera It has AF (it won't be fast, but the previous BMMCC didn't have AF, and the OG BMPCC one was quite useful) It's $995! So, it's smaller and cheaper than the P4K, but appears to only have one native ISO.  Interesting.

Would love to check out a BS1H and a FX30. @IronFilm But that is just nerdom. And you already made me buy the awesome Cinealta F3 which I only have done test shots with so far.:) BS1HII with an inhouse clickon monitor like Red and a cooler name please.:)

But Emanuel, I was just honest. Any GH2 filmer from back then put more skill AND talent into their films. I could give a plus for running so quickly behind and infront of cam, but that's about it. Kye must be laughing like a gone mad colorist seeing how they broke the colour into Nintendo Green Lantern realms, if there ever was a bad game of the overly bad Christoph Waltz flick, based on a 60ies Bruce Lee TV show, where the upcoming superstar was the sidekick and main attraction, paling the main protagonist. Just to throw around a bit with love for popcultural references. Green lantern was a solid comic at first, was'nt it. The Munich video is not solid, nor done in the conciousness of pop, but a dull case of copycat showoff mediocracy.

I lived in Bavaria for a short period so I could compare München with the architecture and cultural influence of Italy where I've also been living for much longer, so I think the comment on grading by @kye is pretty on the spot BTW.  I follow your yellowish tirade anyway, Marty... ; ) Speaking of devil, here's another one:

Addendum to the above.  I think the shots that suffer the most are the ones with the non-main cameras.  I know on my iPhone 12 Mini that the main camera has the noise performance of the GH5 in identical conditions with an F2.8 lens on it, but the wide camera on the iPhone has the same noise as the GH5 in the same conditions but at F8...  that's 3 stops worse performance.

Do you think they'll have a microphone jack? Probably not and Youtubers will hate it... 20 videos on release saying it's great, but they won't buy it because of no mic jack.
I'd rather see a GX800 with a mic jack, PDAF, and the G100's IBIS (all electronic which wasn't that bad). I don't like viewfinders on small cameras as they "just get in the way." Instead, give me a smaller body and bigger battery with a mic jack and PDAF. I'll be happy with that. It also provides more contrast in their lineup.
S1H ii - video oriented, ultimate IQ with all the bells and whistles, high price S5 ii/iix- photo oriented, ulitimate IQ but not all the bells and whistles, bargain value GH7- video oriented, ultimate IQ with a crop with all the bells and whistles, high crop sensor price G9 ii- photo oriented, ulitimate IQ with a crop but not all the bells and whistles, decent crop sensor value G100, GX9 ii, GX850 ii- small video and photo camera with value features and excellent value. If they make anything that anywhere close to the G9 ii in terms of size, they'll turn off people who want a small camera. It needs to me sub 350g which is really hard. People will expect full-sensor readout, 60fps with PDAF.
The real question is how cool can they make the G9 ii sensor as thermals will be key and probably the determining factor of the camera size. I'm ok with a fan in such a small body, but increase the size of the battery please- 250 shot CIPA minimum.

FYI, the G9ii's manual is 832 pages long. Is that a record of some sort?

No D-Log option for 4K 120P.
It seems to me the Hero 12 (11) has greater dynamic range using G-log (which is available at all frame rates and resolutions) than the Pocket 3 D-Log.  At least the Hero 12 handles highlights better. I am now shooting the Pocket 3 with EV -.3 now to try to improve the preservation of highlights.
