I concur Jon's comments. Kudos to Vasha : ) Not only night footage (to prove with the right settings, this camera can be a low light killer : P) but also daily footage. To those used to bash this wonderful piece of technology to infer it as too videoish, here you have what a pilot or competent shooter means. Coupled to the proper glass under control to know the limits of your acquisition tool, why do we need another capture device BTW? ; ) @webrunner5 you are on the spot, Don... my 8 years of Montenegro can only confirm you that : -)

Narrative shot in one camera setup. No multiple camera where a not-so-well-cared soap opera can range forty/forty five minutes or so (i.e., pages of script to pair up). Oh well, do not count special projects either ; )) Which can end in a half of that first figure above for example. On the other hand, Raoul Ruiz as for instance was known by reaching twelve to make it happen in a single day.

Jim (Jannard) started his project in his mind along the last century's end, even though, he had hired the best man Jarred in that late 2005 from dvxuser webmaster to be RED chief and help him to finish the whole camera concept a few months before that NAB announcement the year after. A 2K cinema camera converted later to a 4K acquisition device after all, when David was effectively focused to bring 4K editing as a workflow to life. Followed by this (golden) pair of contributors usually bashed by the customary suspects inside the 35mm realm; CML, cinematography forums and so on... See the example between animal species of unrelated kind as far as their sensory system range concerns. Therefore, perception is the main key element then. That's all about that.
