Yeah first time for me to hear the sensor actually get burned, unfortunately I did encounter Sony A7sII overheat and shut down on me. This is the combo I use for event, unlimited recording time, full size HDMI out, long battery (well C100mKII battery is much longer with bigger battery), and never overheat whatsoever.

Unfortunately the newer Sony cameras cant be hacked, they taking out the app in camera. My friend's friend just burned his A7S sensor for shooting over 3hrs straight..

Samsung eying return to camera market as Galaxy smartphone shipments fall

Or just reskin the rx1rii and charge $1000 name tax, my bet is priced similar or higher than Q -

We shot event with live switch/live stream/live projection + QA with couple c100mkii and gh5s, works really well, full size hdmi out is a must cause I break so many mini/micro hdmi out cables in the past. We also use 5D3 and M50 with C100mkii for some other shoots, they match really well together vs matching with other brand of camera. (like the GH5S and A7III I own). I wouldnt do C100 on Ronin, too heavy and big for all day shoot, the 6D2/80D will be better for that, especially with touchscreen autofocus and fd and smaller size/weight overall. For stage event 30P is enough, i dont think i ever have to do a slowmo for those kind of stuff.

Just got a gx7 with 14-140 f3.5, the grip on gx7 is more comfortable to hold than gx85, wonder why Pana went backward with it? The lens is just much smaller on M43 vs other bigger format. I have to get a bigger bag for A7III since my small bag cant hold it anymore with bigger lens.

Man it used to be every 6 month for PC when there are many competitors on the filed (intel/cyrix/amd for cpu and matrox/3dfx/s3/ati/nvidia for gpu), and gradually evolve to yearly then to every few years once competitor dies off or become less competitive. -
Our company adds 8tb hdd every year.. so it can chew a bit in the long run, we are thinking of going cloud storage as our file server is running out of rack to host new hdds

Well the OSMO for X5s/X4/X7 is still not happening (nearly 2 years ago they promised but nothing so far!) , so I doubt it will ever see the day, since all their cpu is on the main airframe of the drone is which is a lot bigger than camera body.

What I want to do with my money is non of your business, it’s not like I m spending your money or anything. ? For my spending money on gear gives me thrill and spark, hey it’s much cheaper than owning and flying airplane which 2 of my co-workers do. It cost few hundred dollars on fuel for each flight alone!
-
Guess that the difference between full time working vs hobbyist, just did 2 $2000 jobs last week, so it is manageable for me. $10000 gear is nothing to sneeze at, most of my friend got way more expensive gear than that. My gear is toys compare to them lol. (Some of them earn 6 digit a year just doing video, consider NZ is very small population country so that really good!)

If video AF is good enough and IBIS is much better I dont mind dumping my A7III to Nikon, at end of the days it just all tools to me. I am still waiting for Canon FF Mirrorless to upgrade my m50.
-
There is always a middle budget too, we sometimes shot with team of 4-5, not big enough for Alexa but more budget than low budget lol. We always have external sound with it, pre amp from external recorder is so much better and cleaner than build in camera like canon C lines

Ergonomic should be pretty good, I guess that the 24-70 f4 lens?
-
Did a corporate shoot yesterday, focus peaking and magnify while works but not great, Canon one is much better implemented and magnification show much more detail than Sony which is just enlarged blurry screen. But I use AF most of the time but there are times where you want it fixed (like revealing shot and stuff). The battery life definitely improves a lot, still have 50% battery life left at end of the day, with a7sii I will need at least two batteries.

Well otherwise he wouldn't put this disclaimer up

A7III seem to stretch video a bit, but man that attract swarm of Sony fanboys at comment section

11.8 stops according to DJI 12.8 for X5S

Finally got a7iii, took over a months wait, the shop said it will be in short supply til Xmas time. so far colour is not my cup of tea, gonna take while to get used to it Also ordered MFT to E mount adapter so I can use Laowa 7.5mm on A7, its my fav UW lens! Much tinier than Laowa 15mm f2 or 9mm f2.8. And also gonna see if olympus 9mm fisheye body lens cap would work it

Agreed, I came here to escape those YouTuber stars... don’t want to see their name mentioned at all!

Latest leak, Mavic 2 Zoom with 2X Optical zoom (24mm-48mm) and Mavic 2 Pro with 1" sensor, with 44mph top speed

Each to their own, I hate to change batteries often or worry about battery management in an all day shoot, or worry about overheating because the body doesn’t disperse enough heat, to me camera is a tool for me to make money ?, I want my tools to work to their full and not like a diva.

It can't move too much since the edge will be blocked by the lens mount, so that why it was limiting how much it can compensate for movement, of course it can move what ever behind the mount but it have to be within certain axis before the light aka image get blocked by the lens mount. Perfect example will be GH5 with Speedbooster XL and Sigma 18-35mm, doing slow movement you don't see vignetting, but any big action stuff you can see dark corners because sensor is moving bigger distance to compensate big movement, but that is over the image circle provided by Sigma lens. Similar thing to Sony's IBIS, the sensor movement distance is limited by that mount, it can't move big distance to compensate for big movement like walking for example.

Actually larger mass should be able to stable much better than smaller mass, look how smooth Ronin is vs tiny Osmo.. no up down walking bounce for starter. I think the small diameter of E-Mount is the key to blame, look at how much space can it move around vs M43 sensor inside their mount (like literally touching the border of the mount for E mount), hence I have a feeling Nikon Z mount will have good advantage here for IBIS. I am waiting to see how Nikons mirrorless will offer, if it have good IBIS and video spec/quality is not too far off I will be ditching my A7III pretty soon!
