First impressions of the Panasonic GH2 are overwhelmingly positive. There was not another DSLR at Photokina by Canon or Nikon that can compete as an all-rounder. The GH2 is a complete package.
UPDATE 2 Located the GH2’s spec sheet in English. 40fps at 4 megapixel has no limit in JPEG mode. Just 7 images in RAW. This is hugely promising for a 4k video hack. Clearly, new hardware is capable.
PHOTOKINA 2010, COLOGNE, GERMANY, September 21, 2010. The calm before the storm, a few hours now before Photokina begins is a good time to take stock of where Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus and Panasonic are up to with their respective approaches to the market. Because in a few hours, that could all change.
