The Humans Are Coming - Short Film

1 post in this topic

Here's my first short film that I shot back in August. Enjoy (hopefully?). :P

In a world where zombies are the norm, The Humans Are Coming will take a peek into the home of the Williams family, a loving zombie family.  A typical day in the life of the family turns sour when an old friend pays a visit who is infected with the H-Virus.  One family member's secret will put everyone in danger and change the lives of the family forever.

    • 3 camera test
      By plochmann
I did a rough test between three cameras: the Nikon D750, Lumix GH2, and Black Magic Pocket Camera.  I wanted to see how their videos compared in general.  I'm swamped in work, so I couldn't make this as good as I wanted.  I literally shot it on lunch break from a day job at an PR firm.  However, I think the results are clear and I wanted to share the video and a link to my blog with you guys in hopes that others can learn or give me some good feedback on questions I raise.  I'm rusty on the whole shooting thing because I've devoted the last 3 years to teaching and commercial work/writing.  It's good to get back into it, and necessary because I have  a script I want to shoot next month.

I know some won't be interested in the blog link above, like I'm plugging myself, but there is a lot of insight into the footage, what I was trying to do, and a big piece on lenses and the way they work (like feel) on different cameras.

    • No Limits - The Fighter -
      By Chrille
      Hello,
we just shot a little video with a german MMA Fighter / Hip Hop Artist.
We shot it on GH4 and GH2 and used a Cam-Mini 2 Gimbal. Luckily a friend at Deli Creative Collective graded it for us.
We would love to hear some feedback. We want to grow - as you know there are no limits ;-)
We added the video to the Sony competition and if you like to support us it would be great if you could like the video on youtube. (The youtube likes are needed to get to the next round)

    • Looking to improve gh2/gh4 user wedding videos
      By rc2727
      Hi all,

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind looking at some of my work and giving me some constructive criticism. I've graduated from film on the gh2 to currently the gh4 and I've started my own local film business. Nothing massive just a hobby I enjoy so why not get paid to do it. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

I'm always willing to try new things and learn from past mistakes.

      Thanks for your time
