As we get closer to the press conference, more unconfirmed rumours on the A7S have come in from NAB.

Since the GH1 I have been shooting with Panasonic’s mirrorless system for video. Without this series of affordable cameras my early work as a cinematographer and filmmaker simply wouldn’t be the same. The GH4 marks a much needed major leap for the line, the first to shoot 4K to an efficient internal codec AND output 10bit 4:2:2 1080p over HDMI to an affordable external recorder like the Atomos Ninja!
On a visit to Panasonic I got to see the camera, see 4K sample footage and give my feedback. Here’s an account of what I saw…
Sony seem to have worked hard in optimising the A99 for video, and not just stills only.
Point by point, EOSHD takes a first glance at the official information…
There’s a lot to chew over in the latest GH3 specs. EOSHD takes a look point by point…
Amazingly the rumours were right once again, and somebody from NAB leaked the AF100 to 43rumors a day before the press release was due.
The implications here are enormous.
(In the pic above, the 14-140mm lens seems to have some kind of adapter on the front of it – what is it?)
Here are some to start it off. I’ll be seeking to ask Panasonic and to get some answers!
The first interchangeable lens Micro 4/3rds camcorder is due to be released later this year and of course this is great news – so good to see Panasonic making intelligent use of their investment in the existing Micro 4/3rds technology.
