I recently picked up a Carl Zeiss 50mm F1.4, not the newer one but an older Rollei mount similar to the Contax Zeiss version. The HFT coating was what Zeiss called T* coating on the Rollei lenses. It was designed to go on a Rolleiflex SL35 35mm film camera.

If you’d only go on eBay’s prices you’d assume the Iscorama anamorphic lenses had God-like properties. Maybe they’d part water with their patented easy focus mechanism. Could they heal a leaper with their flare? Possibly the hallowed Iscorama is able to bless you with a cinematic image.

I was guest of ReWo today at MBF, a rental shop in Berlin. They originally planned to do a head to head with a RED and Sony F3 but since these cameras were stuck in Frankfurt we instead had a play with the GH2 versus AF100.
