Just to finish this thread, I replaced the eBay purchased Metabones XL with a new one. The new one had much tighter tolerances and even a weather sealed gasket on the back. I had to adjust the infinity focus a small amount but now my XL and Tokina 28-70mm work great together! 

Lenses to go with the BMPCC4k needs a new thread. This is something I'd follow.

Just ordered the Tokina 28-70 2.6-2.8 from ebay for £130, not bad for that zoom range. Eventually I think ill put together a set of primes to compliment it, maybe Contax Zeiss or Leica R's...

In this video you can compare Sigma 18-35 and Tokina 28-70. Shot with Ursa Mini 4.6K. Tokina is very filmic (starts at 2:36).

2. Leica Summicron-R 50mm f/2.
3. And I would like to get Angenieux 70-210mm f/3.5.

Im also thinking about the XL + Tokina 28-70, I (regrettably) sold my copy but might look for another.

"Will Speed Booster XL 0.64x m4/3 work with the BMPCC 4K or are you developing a new booster especially for the new BMPCC 4K?"
Their answer:
"Sorry! We still waiting a test with BMPCC 4K …."

Brian from Metabones said he is NOT making another speedbooster.
The normal ones work fine for this camera unless Blackmagic did something unusual. Everything looks to be standard with this camera.

In terms of quality, maybe it's a better future investment to get full-frame lenses and the XL speedbooster for future proofing.  Otherwise, if you already own lenses, super35 speedbooster might be better.

We suggest Blackmagic Design to add Super 16 windowed mode to new Pocket 4K camera.

 

I have recently got for my old Pocket a good power solution. It works more than 5 hours with this power bank powered by 5x hi quality 18650 batteries. You can also put it in a cell phone tripod mount to attach it to the camera. You need to get a LEMO connector to power a new BMPCC4K.
