Dont know why, but I always get a red frame (probably dropped) randomly when transcoding in davinci & using in premiere

The small sensors like on this pocket turns to mush in low light. They need to fix that & the rolling shutter.

Lol, wow. I just started going through my eos r photos from NY in late October (busy with school/work). I can see very distinctive color banding at just 1.3 stops increase in exposure. Scratch that as a professional photo tool. Nail your shot perfect 100% of the time and you'll be good.

It seems there are some real weirdos into this camera. Lots of old guys leaving creepy comments and not sure if this guy in the video at 2:05 (and scene before) knows wtf he is saying. At the very end; "Goodbyyyyyee..... Love You" ?

Just got one to try out for shots between setting up my heavy A DSLR. The AI for tracking, aka using it as a 2nd cameraman works great. Btw, only draw a box around someone's head, if their body shape changes (crouch, or move further back etc.) it will lose it. It does however absolutely suck a major one indoors, no surprise considering its equivalent to an f11.2 at 26mm on full frame. I can't even use it at all indoors even with the room lit completely; it requires 1600-3200 iso at 24p 50 shutter speed. IQ is down to nothing at even iso 600, impressively noisey. It just looks like typical cell phone footage. I think something like the g7x iii will obliterate it, the g7x ii already has really good optical IS and decent low light. Should get 4k next iteration. My wife had her sisters over, age 11, 14 and 20. Showed them the osmo pocket, none of them remotely cared. These are girls that are constantly taking video/photos for their social media. I have a 7 foot wingspan, I held it out as far as I can and it is barely acceptable for a quick vlog shot. Not comfortable to do that and you will look extra stupid. Most people using it on a vlog shot will be way way too close. Once again, I think dji is going to be sideswiped when their demographics data comes in. I don't know if we will ever see a V2. One positive that eased a concern I had from the start: Once you set up how you want to shoot in pro mode with your phone, it stays on those settings, even when powering on and off without the phone. I don't however know why you can't choose to go back to your pro mode settings if you select any other mode between using your phone again? You can't switch to anything, locked in on pro mode or lose your settings. Another negative: The battery dies really fast, the screen wasn't on (connect to phone) and I was recording a few quick clips in 4k 24p. The battery got to 70% extremely fast. It could be awesome just for doing quick motion lapses, but if you select motion lapse without phone attached, it erases your pro settings and have to reconnect phone again to go through your settings. Also probably need a little stand/base thing for the bottom of it, then you can't fit it back in its case between using it, so gimbal head might break. You will likely be doing motion lapses with your phone attached, can be sketchy with wind out to leave standing on its own for 5-30min, could easily be blown over and will fall towards the screen face, breaking your screen. I will try it during the day tomorrow and see if it is usable in more typical low light (car or something). Edit: Oh yeah, it focus breathes like a MF and quite often in AFC

First video I've seen that was correctly exposed and somehow the sharpness doesn't look overdone. I thought people said there was no way to turn the sharpness down? Didn't what's cookin say even in d-cinelike (pre production versions) that there was no sharpness setting?? * Another issue I don't see people talk about: Everytime you turn it on, you have to connect to your phone & set the correct fps, color profile etc. ruins the whole "fast shot" thing. Also, if you end up putting any accessories on it, like the gopro mount, it wont fit in the case, so then you have a high risk of damaging a free flopping gimbal head lol.

I think DJI will be surprised at their segmentation data analysis on the pocket.

Really wanted this gimbal, but it's like 4lbs? Similar ones are around 2 lol. Since the battery grip detaches so high, I hope they make a double battery grip handle that connects there, would be a perfect 2 handed gimbal, not a fan of the triple handle junk thats adapted.

I'm 6'4", I have big hands & carry a flagship sports camera 1 handed with a 2lb lens great. Never use a neck strap, feels perfect. I can't do that with the same lens & a mirrorless, my palm is wider than the whole grip on those. Once again, I hate using neck straps.

They need to add object tracking. If someone turns around or to the side, it loses focus in an abrupt way.

I thought for the longest time it was just kids on the internet with an apsc sony (like I had in 2016). Then I was flown out to NYC for some banking superday interviews; I was walking the isle & heard a 55-60 year old man introduce himself to someone next to him. He led by: "I am a successful photographer! I do magazine advertisements." He then pointed to a guy with his wife in front of me that had a smaller nikon camera around his neck & said "but I dont shoot with a piece of S%$! like that, I shoot sony". I really was stunned at the arrogance of this little man, it made me think that he was highly insecure. I wanted to get him worked up a bit, so when I passed him I said "sony has disgusting skin tones" & smiled. The guy jumped up and started screaming haha, I thought he was going to get himself put on a no fly list. Bank gave me a crap econ seat, so I was about a mile away from him after that. Took 30min to get off the plane after flying 5hrs from the western U.S., that little prick was waiting for me to scream some more ?. I just ignored him with my headphones in, he followed me with his phone out to take pictures or film idk. I'm sure I am on some little blog post somewhere haha. That was my first experience with a sony "fanboy" in person.

I have shot most brands since 2006 & go with whatever I test and like. I don't understand why sony fanboys feel the need to invade every single video etc. on all videos of other cameras? They don't leave semi underhanded comments, it's full blown nastiness. Who is this demographic? I don't get the level of unprovoked hostility, is it purchase insecurity? Is it young kids that can afford a sony instead of the traditionally high priced dslrs of the past? Someone help me understand ?

It seems to do much worse with h.265>h.264; it didn't want to export for awhile, I thought I was screwed. Had to reload the program a few times and it finally exported. I have a new $10k PC as well.

I made this note when I first had problems in premiere & had to trouble shoot lol. If screen blacks out, click window > workspaces > reset to saved layout

The newest iphone has a crazy hdr video mode where it shoots in 60p, but exports in 30p. Takes the slightly under exposed and slightly over exposed and combines for crazy good DR video.

I used the sony 299 mb/s card and it worked great

I really did lol. I needed something small to mount on the front of my snowmobile. We will see how long it lasts lol

Sent mine back, bought the osmo pocket instead on webrunners recommendation
