  1. I think the C100 Mark 2 would be a great camera for low-middle end corporate work where image quality isn't as important as ergonomics. Its a great all in one solution that just works. Great battery life, XLR, DPAF, internal ND. Although, I do agree that for the money, the image isn't the best avaliable
  2. Any idea when we will start seeing some footage?
  3. I just keep all my stuff in a peli case ready to go
  4. Those Taks look great! Are you using filtration?
  5. I set mine for my widest lens and then my others go slightly past infinity, but its no big deal!
  6. you need to adjust your infinity focus, Its harder to achieve infinity with wide lenses on the XL.
  7. I wouldn't be able to justify double the price for a single feature because I almost never use autofocus. However, If they released a version for only £100-200 more expensive or if they introduced some sort of upgrade, I might grab that instead for the rare occasion that I would use it.
  8. Where do Blackmagic say this about DR? I was under the impression that both the original Pocket and the Pocket 4k were advertised as 13 stops
  9. I use the Tiffen VND, ive never noticed any image issues but I rarely pixel peep. Also never seen the X pattern within the min-max range. I wish it had hard stops however... I got the 82mm so it was quite pricey but worth it.
  10. That sounds like a lot of work for something that can be avoided by buying different lenses... or maybe i'm just too lazy!
  11. Blackmagic were at the Media Production Show in London today. They didnt have any Pocket 4k's on display but they told me they are still expecting a September release.
  12. Now that I have the combo working, ill also be using the Metabones Speedbooster XL with the Tokina 28-70mm 2.6-2.8. (34-85 F1.8 Equivilant) At somepoint I think I might pair it with a set of Leica R's or Contax Zeiss lenses, especially since ill need a good wide angle to pair with the Tokina.
  13. SUCCESS! Just to finish this thread, I replaced the eBay purchased Metabones XL with a new one. The new one had much tighter tolerances and even a weather sealed gasket on the back. I had to adjust the infinity focus a small amount but now my XL and Tokina 28-70mm work great together!
  14. Tried the 28-70 on a canon camera and it behaved perfectly. New metabones XL should arrive tomorrow.
  15. Thanks, ill be testing some more modern lenses tomorrow!
  16. I still don't quite hit infinity with my 44-2 but I think its due to the £5 amazon adapter im using. Ill be testing some more lenses after a shoot tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys!
  17. Update: I removed the optical block from the speedbooster and the issue remains which leads me to believe that it is in fact an issue with the lens itself.
  18. So I tried adjusting the speedbooster but it only made it worse and didnt spin in the other direction... maybe the speedbooster is a dud
  19. Thanks for the tip, will buy a screwdriver to get into that screw and report back!
  20. So I ordered a Tokina 28-70mm 2.6-2.8 EF from eBay but after testing it, it seems that it doesn't reach anywhere close to infinity focus on the wide end. does anyone know of a fix to this or will I have to return? Im using a GH5 with a Speedbooster XL. Here is a comparison between 28mm, 50mm and 70mm focusing on the kettle/ infinity.
  21. The price on those 1.2 primes was the main reason I haven't gone for them, all the footage i've seen looks fantastic.
  22. Wow it looks great, I originally sold it for the Sigma 50-100 to pair with the 18-35 but i didn't get on with the combo so much, how do you find the 35-70 CZ? especially the since its push-pull, is it tricky to pull focus?
  23. Just ordered the Tokina 28-70 2.6-2.8 from ebay for £130, not bad for that zoom range. Eventually I think ill put together a set of primes to compliment it, maybe Contax Zeiss or Leica R's...
