Smallrig are sending me a sample of p4k cage + the accessories. it looks quite good, similar design to the 8sinn but cheaper. Thats odd, I think the price decreased slightly on CVP

what's everyones battery plans so far? At the moment I think I'm going to get a few LPe6 batteries and reply on the AC power for longer stuff.

I just read on the BM forums that CVP only had 1 camera delivered to them.

Cvp emailed me saying they have recieved cameras and will allocate them first come first served. I haven’t had mine allocated yet and they previously told me I was in the first 20. That means cvp must have recieved less than 20 cameras.

From CVP The latest update we have for the Blackmagic Pocket 4k is that we should receive shipments around the end of September. However, we are unsure of how many units this shipment will contain. We will be in touch to take the final payment once we have a unit allocated to your order.

I still think CFast sounds like much less effort, i'm going to be picking up 2nd hand CFast cards for cheaper.

Personally I'm just going to use Cfast cards. I don't want to worry about the USBC cable coming loose or having to rig it up etc.

Is it unreasonable to think that a Full Frame Panasonic camera might have an EF mount like the EVA 1?

Ive heard that the 28mm ZE is a great lens but I've never used it. It might be worth looking into

The Tokina 28-70 2.6 is a wicked lens. I haven't had many issues with CA but it is noticeably softer than the Zeiss and Sigma lenses I'm used to but the image that it produces is, to my eye, much prettier. Cant wait to test it on the new pocket. Also I picked it up for like £120.

Anyone tried transcend CFX650 or CFX600 CFast Cards? They seem quite reasonably priced.

Have you considered the Ursa Mini Pro? It might not be as small and light as the other offerings but it should pair well with a P4k

yeah those SD cards will work with that mode

I much prefer half cages, Full cages make the grip uncomfortable. Smallrig also have a cage on the way.. At the moment its a full cage but they are still receiving feedback.

8Sinn have 2 cages on the way for the Pocket 4k available to preorder on the 16th. They have both a Full and Half cage. No word on price yet 8Sinn say they will announce it on the 16th.
