  1. Ah cool, have been following both projects. enjoy the holiday!
  2. It does work on 1.2 firmware. Once it's loaded, you can save it to C or save it as the custom Photo Style (press disp. once you've fine tuned the settings), either way, you don't need to re-do it every time you turn the camera on. You'll konw if it's worked because the name of the Photo Style will be blank, where others say 'Standard' 'Vivid' etc. BTM_Pix - I just saw a thread about focus ramping time lapses: As it's also done through a browser, is there a way to include that option into this html. file? Then all these sweet tweaks will be in one place. I know nothing about how you're doing what you're doing, otherwise I'd give it a go myself haha
  3. Along the same lines, you could also try one of these. www.lectrosonics.com/US/PDR/product.html
  4. Wow that sucks, can’t you go to Metabones and get them to sort it out, your right, market leaders should deliver quality products. I’ve found one of these on eBay from the manufacturer. My camera and lenses are listed as compatible, so I’ve put in an offer. It says 8 days shipping, and they have a 30 day returns policy, so hopefully I’ve got nothing to lose. Once it’s arrived and I’ve had a play with it, I’ll post back. I can also do some comparisons with the Metabones, but I would assume if this can control the aperture, there will be no difference.
  5. Hey all, While looking to buy a second metabones for my b-cam, I came across this: https://www.amazon.com/FOTOMIX-EF-M4-AF-II-Panasonic/dp/B071V5B5PM?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071V5B5PM&pd_rd_r=GT3M11BDKY2PSXM6B0WQ&pd_rd_w=SYidk&pd_rd_wg=S6jGH&psc=1 I know this one isn't a speedbooster, but the metabones on my a-cam isn't a speedbooster either, so it's not like I'll miss that functionality. I also don't need autofocus, although this does say it works, I'm hesitant to trust it.. For me, as long as it can control the aperture, I'm golden. At that price, I feel like there must be a catch, but have never looked into metabones alternatives, so don't know what to look out for. What are your feelings on an alternative that's so cheap?
  6. Amazingly, this video is how I found this thread and this 'hack' (is it a hack?) When looking to buy the GX80 I of course watched a million and one videos about it, from it, with it, through it, around it, and basically anywhere near it. After buying, I stopped searching, but then this came up in my suggested videos the day I got home from a lovely holiday, it was a great 'welcome home' present!
  7. Like I said, happy to be proven wrong haha! Thanks for the info, will check it out when I get home. Aside from RAW and internal prores, it's starting to look like the GX80 is the 4k pocketcam that Blackmagic never delivered.
  8. What's the 'Options Available' part? I don't have my camera on me to check it out. From what I've read, VLOG is a stretch, but I'm more than happy to be proven wrong. Over on this topic, there's been some matching to RED going on, but no settings/'hacks' have been revealed just yet:
  9. Thanks so much for this BTM_Pix! For those interested, the LeemingLUT for GH5's CineLine D should work with this. I was recently mailing them about the GX80/85 and was told they're more or less the same when it comes to using LUTs. BTM_Pix, would you be able to put the updated HTML files in the first post, to avoid scrolling through the who thread to find latest versions? I'm also having trouble finding the info about the different hue settings, so if it's not too much trouble, a little 'release log' our outline of new features would be really great! Again though, thank you so much for finding this and sharing it with everyone!
