Don't beleive ES's lies. I gaurantee you he's not depressed or suicidal. He's just scared. He's just a guy that got caught who doesn't want to pay for the consequences of robbing innocent people.

We should definitely forgive him but if he gets away with this crime without justice being served he will end up scamming someone again.

So don't put your guard down becasue he's mostlikely just stalling.

Maybe. His response on FB was pure evil. And now sister story.

Btw, pregnancy operation is illegal in E: http://www.juancole.com/2015/02/itself-womens-rights.html

Why would he incriminate his sister (and himself?) in the front of community/ whole world ?

yes but the other stolen camera has 11 digits as well.

I stand by my theory, he supplied a serial for another camera he owns, not the 1dc, and probably changed a number on it.  Who knows?

People who lie a lot, lie a lot.

My final thought ( I HOPE) - if you are going to scam people, use a fake name. Too many things happen if you use a real name, in this era where everyone and their dog has a facebook and instagram account.

23011000227 or 023011000227, same result on stolencamerafinder

Now I ask, show us the receipt for your purchase of the Canon IDC. Then I will believe you.  Also, do you have a correct serial number that I can look up?  And have you posted on sites that the camera was stolen?  As most people do when a piece of gear is stolen.  There is a website here:

    http://www.stolencamerafinder.com/

    checking serial 02301100059

-Btw do you want an Egyptian police report? that's handwritten in almost unreadable Arabic and signed off by two names? Because that's how it looks and why I find it doesn't do any good for me sending it. But if you can read Arabic or have an Egyptian friend who can confirm that this is how a report is written and translate it I can send it immediately. Would the police report clear my name?!

Yes, we want that report. Canon 1DC, S/N xxxxxxxxxx

I lost a 1DC I know I'll never get back. So losing a Rangefinder + shipping fee is something I am willing to do to help these poor men who got scammed.

Then my grand father would have to only pay for one instead of two once the case is closed.

Wow, bad luck. Grandfather's 1DC was stolen, now yours.

Ebrahim, you don't know who you are anymore.

Unfortunately, it seems so. I guess it is only a sad story of a teenager who's asking for a severe reprimand. The trouble here is the user himself says in his own signature he is 19 years old already.

I had bought it from him too. I'd urge the young fellow with his face spread all over internet sites such as Vimeo, Instagram, etc to refund the buyers immediately, before the things may become even worse.

Yeah, very sad story. Junior (EOSHD member - April 2014):

The fees on importing a 8000usd camera from usa to egypt is about 600 dollars.  Not 16000 usd.

This whole dentist switching to physician thing is a new angle.

    That w the stolen images.

We have a nerdy kelzer sultse

    Heres official duty guide...

Im going to ask an Egyptian resident to clarify this.

Most likely Senior doesn't exist. There is no 1DC (S/N with 11 digits!), Saadawi Media, Nuclear Radiology Center...

Jr - he only has 1100D, Zoom H1, 50mm, 18-55 and SLR Magic RF: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=29545

        - Instagram: no pics of his grandfather holding a camera, filming, editing, Saadawi Media, at work in a Rad. Center https://www.instagram.com/ebrahimsaadawi/

I had the same concerns. There are a lot of red flags in this post.

If he is indeed so wealthy to where he makes the amount of scammed money in a day, then refund it. Don't say you'll refund it "someday" and then say you have no obligation to do anything.

And the biggest red flag of all is the "this will be my last post, I'm leaving forever". That is NOT something a innocent person would do. Saying you're worried about more scammers is not a logical concern.

Someone who was actually trying to make things right would not cut themselves off from us and the victims. But you know who would? A scammer.

It all just seems very transparent to me. The whole "this is terrible, I'd never do this! I'm so rich, why would I need to do this? Even though I'm so loaded and people were scammed of thousands of dollars in my name, I have no obligation to pay. But I will! Someday....oh by the way I'm never going to come back here again. Bye!" thing is soooo shady.

    It doesn't make sense, people!

Something's not right. Have searched on the net but could not find Media Company and Nuclear Radiology Center in Egypt. I suspect that there is only one 'filmmaker',

Ebrahim Junior. Just checked Instagram and Flickr profile; no pictures of his grandfather holding the camera - https://www.flickr.com/photos/ebrahimsaadawi/

    OK, I might be wrong.

    Okay,

You have no obligation to trust my words, and I don't actually need you to trust them as it doesn't harm me in anyway.

Before anything else, this is Saadawi Senior.

I say so because no one outside of my close circle of Saadawi Media company knows and has access to my gear quite so specifically. And because the password of all my accounts on EOSHD/DVX/FB is pretty much known to be simply my name. So those are the ones who had access to perform such a scam. Thus, this is 100% someone close.

It's not my grandson Ebrahim, as he asks for a thousand dollars and I give him. He never needed a penny that I didn't offer. We have a relationship stronger than iron, and we both need no money of this kind. I run a successful Nuclear Radiology Center, Lecture in Middle east's highest regarded universities, and I run Al Saadawi Media, let's not get into numbers but I have no need to scam anyone for 1000-2000 USD while I make that in a day, therefore neither does my grandson. Because what I make, he receives as well.

Dear Ebrahim, could you please post the link (Al Saadawi Media and Nuclear Radiology Center)? Thanks.

Took out my new steadicam solo (bmpcc plus weights) for its first walk around the garden... reviewing the footage,  I thought I must have bought a yacht!

I had read that it isn't easy but I was quite surprised at just how difficult it is to stop it swaying. And, yes, it does seem to be balanced and it has a drop time of 2s. One thing I did notice during the drop test is that it does develop a spin. Presumably that means that it cannot be balanced.
