  1. Canon C500 Mark II Body 3794C007 $15,999 Canon LM-V2 LCD Monitor 3941C001 $749 Canon LA-V2 LCD Attachment Unit 3942C001 $249 Canon EVF-V50 Viewfinder 3938C001 $699 Canon Canon EU-V1 Expansion Unit 1 3939C001 $499 Canon EU-V2 Expansion Unit 2 3940C001 $1,599 Canon PM-V1 PL Mount Kit 3936C001 $1,599 Canon CM-V1 EF Cinema Lock Mount Kit 3937C001 $2,199 The EF locking mount is quite expensive
  2. it's small enough for solo operator seems silly to make it so tricky - although audio has always seemed like an after thought with the Canon cinema cameras - having it on top of the handle on my C100 has been a pain in the arse
  3. The little detachable evf is another $700, $6000 for the proper one
  4. Hmm yes oh well, disappointing and why are the audio controls on the bottom right side of the camera? That's a nightmare for solo shooters
  5. oh really, that's very disappointing, am sure the CVP video mentioned it
  6. Looks good, IBIS is a nice surprise - wonder how effective it will be. Also surprised it doesn't have RF mount available. Slightly cheaper than had been reported but agree with Django I think this will be more for rental, most people don't seem to be wanting to spend over £10k on a camera these days
  7. the blue channel clipping from cheap blue LED lights is a problem with pretty much all the modern sensors it seems, happens on Sony and Canon cameras too - there's an interesting thread that talks about it on DVxuser, from post #143 onwards, one solution seems to be to change the white balance to 5600k http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?365237-C500-MKII-Leaked-on-Canon-Rumors/page8
  8. who claims that, certainly not Panasonic - the S1 is a hybrid camera, the S1H is the cinema camera
  9. with Sony s-log 2 and particularly slog 3 seem to need 10 bit to work properly, the 8 bit version on the a6300 and A7s i tried were prone to banding and other strange artifacts - Canon clog and even Fuji f-log seem to be more forgiving in 8 bit (although it's nice to have the 10 bit internal with Fuji)
  10. Yes those anamorphic lenses aren't very sharp and there are some focus issues - am liking the look though
  11. Could do with the AF improving, firmware 3.0 seems to have made it worse than it was
  12. what's really good about the M6 in comparison?
  13. £2999 plus VAT and with XLR module at CVP, that's cheaper than I thought it would be
  14. Does that 16-55mm 2.8 have I.S. - can't see it listed anywhere - Sony's version of IBIS isn't good enough to use handheld without it Camera wise yeah the XT3 is in a different league
  15. Yes not quite sure why SD is a problem, cheaper and reliable, never had one lose footage over the last 10 years or so. This isn't clinical
  16. Some pretty impressive rolling shutter results for the 6k as reported by Captain Hook on DVXuser Full 6K : 19.73ms 5.7K crop : 16.26ms 2.8K crop : 7.98ms
  17. It's ok I wasn't attacking it just letting Shell64 know not to expect too much - it is still very soft. I had an m50 and tried using it exactly as you say as a b-cam to the c100 and the difference in quality and sharpness is pretty jarring. I found the good old Panasonic GH2 worked better when cutting between the 2. I haven't used a G7 but would imagine it is a fair amount sharper than the m50 In 4k it was sharper but still below the c100s hd, and the crop and RS are pretty considerable. But a fun camera for what it is and if it had ML I would still own one
  18. I wouldn't say the quality is a lot better, is still pretty mushy on any kind of wide and lowlight is disappointing. Fun little camera though
  19. I don't believe what most of the manufacturers claim either with regards DR, but having worked with the C100 and the Sony FS7 and a6300 I would say slog2 and 3 have a bit more DR to play with than clog. In 8 bit though, clog is much nicer to work with
  20. ok thanks good to know, similar to the C100 then, I wonder if that's a limitation of the 8 bit internal
