Cinegain reacted to Emanuel in Let's go 4K on the big screen at home for 1 grand and a half...
Yes, as said and here is a comparison test with another one of same range:
There's also this one by DELL:
Here's why I'll be ending to buy the Optoma (not my TK800 model I bought but gives a pretty much the idea of my own recent findings) :
Nonetheless, Optoma's Laser Phosphor entry model compares with much higher range -- here are two distinct comparative tests with one year in-between to exactly justify the point:
In any way whatsoever, on minute 7:00, faux-K shows up and testifies : )
In any case, proves how inaccurate is to say it is dead, as much as MFT is... LOL : D

Cinegain got a reaction from Emanuel in Best aerial footage
And then to think that around 10 years ago you didn't have pocketdrones, but hired someone with a cinerigged model helicopter:
And then it got really serious with setups like this:

Also... what has become really popular is something known as 'cinewhoop'. A little FPV drone with ducted fans with either Runcam or GoPro attached. Daily Dose of Internet often uses such clips found on Instagram in his videos:
Increasingly starting to be used for commercial projects... random (not really aerial) examples:
Other implementations:

Cinegain reacted to Emanuel in Let's go 4K on the big screen at home for 1 grand and a half...
I dunno... Low ANSI lumens to my taste : )
I bought this one (3000 ANSI lumens looks to me a minimum requirement):

I am not unhappy at all but... pixel shifting is definitely cheating the parade. I got the proof today with a 4K sample, even though from h.265 @ low bitrate.
I'm eager to pay from native 2.7K instead. Looks like to me more reasonable and the recent Mavic Mini has made me think about...

...or save 1 grand in the initial purchase is the only question?
Seems pretty clear to me, it's not the only premise to matter on here:

Cinegain got a reaction from Emanuel in Panasonic LUMIX Academy video series
Just noticed them uploading a bunch of videos regarding some 'LUMIX Academy'. Checked it out... actually looks alright.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6Y73jphTLqtEYFVZroeRpzykCACsShXm Reminds me a bit of the AdoramaTV HDSLR Five Part Series (the playlist seems to have been removed, but you can search). Seems a good way to get the basics down. Throwback:

Thanks @kye! I actually set up most of the lighting ? The color is all coming from cheap RGB LEDs I got off of amazon. Yongnuo YN360s... Added a gelled Aputure 300d to even things out with a cool look, and then the stage lights were giving the "white" light. And then added the haze, because haze.

Cinegain reacted to Video Hummus in Panasonic GH5 - all is revealed!
Can confirm GH5S + 10-25 f/1.7 with a Smallrig L-Bracket cage balances perfectly on the Weebill-S.
I also have an 8Sinn cage but it won’t balance perfectly due to the bump out of the cage cold shoe mount on the right side hitting the roll axis arm. The motors can still handle it and it works pretty well; just not optimal.
First impressions? Footage is pretty smooth straight out of camera. Still need warp stabilizer if you want butter smooth footage.
For $439 it’s a great gimbal. Love the size.
But...I still can’t wait to have improved IBIS and EIS in future cameras so I don’t need a gimbal.
EDIT: To clarify you need warp stabilizer for butter smooth footage on the GH5S that doesn’t have IBIS. Any camera that does have IBIS will work like a dream with this gimbal.

i second the motion, apart from maybe using a chain for the driveline of a rather robust motorized slider i cant see any reason for chain advertising in a camera forum

Cinegain reacted to kye in Lenses
@Matt Kieley nice images and cool story.. Glad it turned out well and you have a cool set of lenses.
I still have a 13mm D-mount lens that is waiting to get Frankensteined onto an action camera.. I'm really looking forward to seeing the results.
@Cinegain cool stuff. VLFV is a cool acronym, I like it.
I've just taken delivery of a 1000W halogen light so am almost setup to do some lens tests with the various Russian lenses I have. I think people will be surprised at how well they perform, assuming they're not already familiar with them.

After the HELIOS 44-2, now as well the MIR-1B 37mm f/2.8 & JUPITER-9 85mm f/2 as VLFV (Vintage Lenses for Video/Alan Besedin) are available to pre-order at IronGlassAdapters.
Individual or as complete set: https://ironglassadapters.com/cine-edition-lens-set/
They've also made some adjustments to the 58mm setting back the timeline slightly: 'improvements to the original design, including an upgrade of the front ring O.D. to 95mm for easier clip-on matte box compatibility. We’ve also improved the lens markings and added a “glow in the dark” paint. Finding & shipping the best quality paint and making new parts to for the updated design delayed the production by 3-4 weeks'.
