  1. You're right. Rode video micro works fine on my XT3.
  2. Can you try the Xt3 input mic with a micro something like a videomicro rode? Did you try the headphone jack on your XT3 with internal mic?
  3. What type of cable do you use between your Saromonics and your XT3? There is a difference between line level and microphone level. Micro level is from 1 / 1000V to 1 / 100V against line level about 1V. Some micro input supports line level input but not always. I don’t know for XT3. In this case you must use an attenuator cable of this type: https://www.amazon.com/Movo-MV-RC100-Microphone-Attenuator-Cameras/dp/B01GW69IQ2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Attenuator+cable+jack+3.5mm&qid=1552361227&s=gateway&sr=8-3
  4. Another option. You can order roll custom labels. something like that : https://www.vistaprint.com/marketing-materials/labels-stickers/roll-labels?xnav=LabelsandStickers:FamilyPage_ProductTiles_0_RollLabels_Tile
  5. Another. Different workflow with HLG.
  6. Count me in. (Subject to having time)
  7. I tried again. I don't understand. Look at the screenshot of the node display.
  8. Yes it's the same for mine. But I don't use it because the miniUSB connection is on the side of this tilt arm and I power the monitor by usb with an Anker 26000.
  9. The most interesting article I've read about color management in DR: https://www.provideocoalition.com/solutions-to-resolve-5-taming-color-management-part-1/
  10. The cable LANC1 on the tilta site should work (for sony FS5 and FS7) https://tilta.com/shop/nucleus-nano-run-stop-cables/ See the screen capture on the documentation on FS7 : 3poles same as XT3
  11. Good luck !!! I think a better solution would be to ask Fuji and Tilta what are connexions in their remote cable and to make a custom.
  12. Are you setting on : shoot without lens? ( in button/dial setting)
  13. I can’t test autofocus settings, I have no XF lenses (only manual samyang vdslr). But I will take time to watch reviews on youtube and ask questions on this forum if needed.
  14. Thanks. No, audio is not a problem. I record audio with build in mic only as a reference for sync. I will still take some time before buying one or the other.
  15. Interesting. I am happy with my manual samyang vdslr lenses on my XT3, but I would like to have at least one XF lens with autofocus. I still think between 35mmF1.4 and 35mmF2. After the April’s update 3.0, do you think the 35 / F2 will be better (at least better suited) than the F1.4 for video?
  16. Yes the waweform has three options : Luma, RGB, parade. swit 55 parade.mov
  17. Yes it was. But the path isn’t simple and not visible.
  18. That's what I was thinking too. I think a monitor with LUT is a better solution to record LOG and check a REC 709 image. Combination XT3, monitor SWIT 55C, Anker 26000 (to supply power both) is perfect in my fiction work.
  19. Thank you for sharing. Very interesting. Not really sure that the HLG is better. For me, it depends on the parts of the picture. On the attached screenshot, I prefer the Flog. It's about saturation, colors, contrast. In particular, the dark parts are gray on the log. On the HLG the dark parts are blue. And the fact that there's very little room for error about expo, makes me look rather for the use of the F-LOG. I will do my own tests to check.
  20. After more time with LUTCalc, I understand better this app and I found a better way to create the LUTs I wanted and everything worked fine. I created a 17^3 LUT based on the Fuji LUT deLOG WDR and also 3 versions of this LUT going down one stop each time. Everything works as I want. Very good monitor for the price. Great application (3.49Euros Mac version or free version online).
  21. @Attila Bakos It's a little bit off topic but not too much because the XT3 can be powered by Anker batteries. Here is the solution I found to hold my battery: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00X752FNA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 + cable tie After just attach it to any monitor or LED holder mount. Curious to know if someone has found another solution?
  22. I really like the layout scene organization with 8 possible tools by scene. I create a scene with waveform (very good, very fine) and histogram. And a scene with false color. This 2 scenes for exposure. And I create an another scene with a deLOG LUT for visualisation. I really like the peaking tool (not focus peaking). Peaking looks like a kind of oversharp on the focus part. It is very effective to help focus. There are many deLOG LUT installed, as well as a lot of faslecolor for the main existing LOGs. And also the possibility to put 16 LUT by SD card . Unfortunately these users LUT are in 17x17x17. And it limits the use.
