Canon already stated that they will be updating the firmware for free to include a XF-AVC codec. This codec will likely be 4k 10bit 422.

I would like to be paid by the camera (from the CF slot), and revive the NX line (you used to shoot NX don't you?!).

Any word on AF? Interestingly no rumor on this.
Will it be unusable like the GH4 or great like a Sony A6300, that's the biggest questions for me with the GH5. For the rest we already know it's gonna be great with good 10 bit 4K, IBIS etc.

Sony sensor in raw has great colour... I love the stills on my a7s... Skintones are beautiful.
I hate the video with a passion

Not exactly useless imo since on a Sony its probably 1% of the time I would need to do that. And changing the adapter is 10 times faster and easier than unscrewing a filter.

It's much more pleasing to watch something thats not flat and gray, but full of beautiful colors and contrast. That is why I usually shoot with Gamma C, sometimes normal, but almost never with Gamma DR. I think this dynamic range hype (which EOSHD is full of) is mostly nonsense, as long as it leads to overall bland image.

It's more about the codec actually.
H.265 effectively doubles your bitrate due to 2x greater efficiancy.
    70 = 140Mbit/s
The NX1's codec is able to hold onto more detail, where H.264 on the a7R II goes a bit muddy due to compression.
The RX10 II's codec is muddier still, probably due to a cheaper processor.
So in short... definitely more 'real' detail on the NX1 compared to the A7R II and A7S II.

What is the difference between this and a cheap gimbal and a GoPro Hero 4?  About the same price... OSMO is more visibly attractive, but the HERO 4 is a mature product and you can remove the HERO 4 from the gimbal and use it in other applications.  I dont see the reason that this product is getting so much play.
Now if they released the MFT version at this price, I could completely understand the excitement over that.

It has the same problem that all the other one-handed gimbals have: too much bounce. Curious to see footage from the Nebula 4200 which (they claim) solves that problem.

Image doesn't look as good as the newer GoPros with Protune to my eyes. And with the cheaper standalone gimbals at least you can upgrade the GoPro easily as new models come out.

Did you see the footage? It looks terrible. E-M1 has better quality than this. Or even my note 5 really.
Maybe with the X5R it will be great. But from what I see I would rather wait for the E-M1II.

I'm not a fan of the first A7S. Sure the low light is "cool", but the colour at those high ISO's is bloody terrible.

Ursa mini is completely new and early adopters will have to live through it's inevitable bugs and quirks. F5 is a proven work horse.
You can also knock down the media costs by using qxd cards with adapters for internal recording.
Plus internal ND, plus significantly more light sensitivity.
And zero percent financing over 2 years is extremely nice from a business perspective.

Thank you for pointing this out as it often gets ignored: if you switch the NX1 to HD res it's almost a global shutter cam.
When Cinema5d compared shutter speeds in the following chart they had the nerve to show the NX in UHD mode only on the far right - indicating it's the clear loser, while the A7R2 is given its HD crop speed, and the Amira winning even though it's only 2k. In HD the NX would be to the left of the chart. There is a lot of bias against this camera out there.
