I've just read your last updates of this morning, I am proud of you and my bet, I. @BTM_Pix Tomorrow, there will be a new one which means SERVICE we fight to have from anywhere else, kudos to this endeavour! A customer of yours is really supported as due, it is simply a no-brainer for early adopters as much as any newcomer here. Just my two cents, E :- )

Product of the year! (E : )

Waiting for mine, on the way! (E :- )

This should be posted HERE instead : ) Good luck! :- )

I see where you are : ) The point is form factor is what it is... No other Camera Phone replaces the ASUS ZENFONE 7 PRO flip camera concept, as for instance... A bit the same with the Osmo Pocket, some other pretty decent example. Apples to oranges, it's all about that, that's what makes the shooting (style, I mean), the shot and the shooter himself/herself ; ) Photography isn't only light coming through. - E.

LOL : ) I see we are both on same choices without prior combination in-between... : D Both are the only tools we have for that purpose, isn't it? ; ) What options else we have for the subject matter, today to be used along 2Q 2021?

«The DJI Air 2s will bring some upgrades compared to the Mavic Air 2. While the manufacturer still installed a half-inch small 48 megapixel sensor for photos in the Air 2, this will be upgraded to 20 megapixels in the successor (without Mavic branding). On the other hand, at 600 grams, the drone is 30 grams heavier than its predecessor. The manufacturer also brings the 10-bit color space into the camera. This means that over a billion colors can be recorded. With “Intelligent HDR”, the manufacturer has brought a function into the drone that “automatically combines several recordings in order to increase the dynamic range of images without post-processing”. The drone also supports a hyperlapse and a panorama function. As you can see on our renders, the drone has a total of four rotors, which can accelerate at a maximum of 19 meters per second (as with the Mavic Air 2). For this, the drone can be operated up to a maximum of 6000 meters above sea level. The internal memory is again measured at 8 gigabytes. For video makers, a new feature has now been integrated with “Master Shots”, which executes ten different maneuvers of a subject and makes short recordings. The subject always remains in the center of the picture. The drone supports the well-known standards “Spotlight 2.0” and “Point of Interest 3.0”, but the drone also introduces “ActiveTrack 4.0”. Simply put, this is tracking an object. DJI Air 2s: Also interesting for FPV beginners With the new Air 2s drone, the autopilot is also being upgraded to version 4.0. It detects foreign objects in all four directions and avoids them. The “FPV Goggles V2” known from the new DJI FPV drone are also supported by the DJI Air 2s. Accordingly, the drone also supports the new “OcuSync 3.0” transmission standard, with which the rendering in the glasses should run smoothly. To avoid airplanes or helicopters, DJI uses the “ADS-B” signal transmitter to receive a signal from nearby airplanes. The battery has a capacity of 3,500 mAh, this has already been confirmed by an FCC entry. The drone comes in white, an exact price is not yet available, but it should be over 800 euros. The presentation will take place in April 2021.» source

If heavier than 250 grams under EU regulation and some others ; ) I doubt it would beat EVO II PRO 6K, IQ wise... Really : ) Paying for checking though :- D
-
But a way beefier to a P4K user, isn't it? ;- )
-
Indeed. And more useful than the native one bundled with the combo pack, yes, I'd effectively recommend it as much as this guy here. When several people are saying the same it should be for no reason :- )

That's the feeling, yeah, but it is rather viable to arrive there at the other end of the fence if they fulfill the cup and not forget their home work. I've been in touch with the marketing and sales chain either in Portugal or Europe. BTW the ASUS W EMEA man I contacted last night already answered me this morning. Seems clear they need competent people to help the product to also be a camera. We can't put who rides a bicycle to fly an aircraft without flight knowledge. Basic flight knowledge is insufficient. Andrew is on the spot when his article nails they need to have who (really) understands of photography.

I've downloaded this modded version: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1500/ From here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-suggested/ With the config from the previous Zenfone model (6): https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/configs-urnyx-02/ No luck at all. I actually have found it rather poor BTW. Definitely not at the FILMiC PRO level or even 2021 Best Camera App based in the same root after all. Camera2 API doesn't allow higher than 30fps and the precedent Camera API also available goes up to 120fps but not to this smartphone model where only 15fps, 24fps (not even 25fps, go figure) and 30fps are able to be recorded throughout this Zenfone 7 PRO along it. High bit rate up to 100Mbps works though : ) other than randomly on the Open Camera app. Another positive note is the fact the (real) innovative retractable/flip camera is there, either on the GCam or 2021 Best Camera, so it is a sign both apps have access to this peculiar ASUS tool rather useful. Thus, all this shows that's a whole ASUS ballpark case. They should, well, they MUST address it if they respect their commitment with their loyal clientele (in my case since 2011 with many others directly following my steps as far as I've seen from my own path). I sent tonight the link of this thread to the technical responsible of the brand in Western Europe, Middle East & Africa (Territorial PR & TPR Marketing Manager). He will surely read it. Let's just hope there will be more care to address all this properly and show some love and care for their product, market segment and their supporters. Fingers crossed but I don't hold my breath too much. It's a shame. A pity. So close we are. There is hardware. Their unique 4K 120fps feature proves it. Hard to understand their carelessness. Really : (

I am fully with you on this one : ) These smartphones "IT designers" are absolutely dumb, inept to understand what a device should be. I am done with so much silliness, ignorance, well, incompetence, I must say. They have no simply clue of the horse in their hands. They think they're dealing with some sort of poney or even a donkey :- ) For some GOOD reason, I've posted this one here and am still looking for: That ASUS ZENFONE 7 PRO flip cam is one of the most useful tools I've ever shot with. Coupled to efficient 4K 120p would really be a dream. So? They have decided to cripple it without manual exposure! : ( What else to say?

Well, I follow your POV but let's not forget going with 5X the 24p rate, we have 376Mbps as 'regular' speed equivalent, so it's not that bad detail-wise also in order to avoid any potential introduction of nasty artifacts along your footage ; ) Without mention, you can always recode it : ) I'd firmly suggest this one, though:

Sigma EVF-11... Looks like a masterpiece of design to me
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
4K/60p video remains unavailable. Unbelievable in 2021... A shame for such skillful device. A true pocket. Pity not possible to expand 4K HFR via HDMI, I suppose. -

It is just they will offer 4K 120fps and that would be a no-brainer for many for sure... ; ) BTW @wolf33d where are you, (HFR for) slowmotion man? ;- )

I still have the ones kept somewhere else (but not in digital version) I didn't help myself to end investing with my student pocket money along those old 90s back to my law school years, when I was used to spend a couple of hours literally, reading at book store (not the library : D) once arrived and my few bucks were too short to afford it every single month then. This sounds dreamlike now, by consequence. I think it's not easy to young people in digital age to have a picture what this means. - E.
