  1. You said it! We all have our own preferences.. no one camera to rule them all in this day and age.
  2. Is that why up to 10,000 ISO the difference is not huge between those cameras, but once past that the S3 shows quite a lot difference?
  3. With more LIDAR AF Add option popping the AF on Pana will be non issue, especially if u use cine or anamorphic lens, the AF from camera is not going to power those manual only lens. And most mirrorless AF lens is really bad at manual focusing, its good that Pana have the option to select focus through/non linear etc.
  4. A7s3 ibis is quite weak, c70 with digital is about the same performance as Sony IBIS while Panasonic IBIS is still better than R5/R6, R5/R6 one could be improved if they fine tune it with firmware update. Regarding resolution, it so funny to see Canon user keep saying 20mp is a bit low while Sony user say 12mp is good enough 🤣
  5. At this current pandemic it's kinda dumb to invest huge money for wedding business
  6. Wonder has anyone tried this adapter? Quite a bit cheaper than Sigma mc-21 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001417578884.html
  7. yeah prores raw output finally!
  8. There is no 422 10bit H.265 hardware encoding on X86 CPU or NV/AMD GPU at current market except Apple chip (not sure about android cpus), they only support 420 or 444 8bit/10bit, 422 10bit x.265 is purely software at the moment. That's the sole reason only Ipad can edit 4K/8K x.265 422 10bit realtime without proxy at all. because of hardware acceleration support! A7S3's XAVC-HS also have the same problem unless you use proxies.
  9. https://9to5mac.com/2020/11/02/bloomberg-apple-to-announce-three-new-macbooks-with-apple-silicon-at-next-weeks-event/ A14x MacBook coming in a week, I m definitely tempted to get one.. My editor use proxy to edit on his MacBook, but he use Premiere FHD quality on R5 is quite good too, as sharp as c200..
  10. Around same size as sony 85mm 1.8 fe and less weight, so very good indeed! The lightest mirrorless AF 85mm 1.8 out of all major brands (canon & nikon is like near 500g?). And weather sealed?!
  11. Sigma 45mm 2.8 get updated for focus function (linear mode) on Panasonic bodies
  12. Finally get hands on the c70 at local Canon event. The lighter setup is definitely welcomed over c200, AF wise I think it is just slightly better, not as sticky as the R5 I use. The digital IS can turn on by itself so good for lens without IS.

    Canon EOS C90

Wonder which FF sensor will it use, C500 II or R5 or R6? https://www.canonrumors.com/the-reshaping-of-the-cinema-eos-line-will-continue-into-2021-there-is-a-cinema-eos-c90-in-the-pipeline-cr2/
  14. Well I m happy with Ronin S so not in a hurry, I had Weebill S before and it shut down twice in a shoot so I sold it after. The Focus system is even better than a7siii's !

    Fuji X-S10

Easier to sell new stuff I guess? They are all profit driven anyway
  16. Larger sensor still had advantage on nature bokeh, especially on video! But 65m is not far enough, i really like the 5x zoom on my note20 ultra, no longer I need 24-105 for travel, I just use 20-60 and tele on my phone if I need more reach.
  17. This is the TOF Add on https://store.dji.com/product/ronin-3d-focus-system
  18. Definitely match in heaven for Panasonic shooter!
  19. Yeah, I m definitely keen to upgrade to C70 from R5 next year once I gouge of how the market goes, I dont need the fancy still option of R5. (editing should be way better too on computer lol)
  20. C70 screengrab from FB group (Andrzej Fryda). Canon colour is magic source.
  21. This youtube is quite interesting on the topic of image thickness from colourist's view, general public vs film maker's expectation is a bit different.
