AF100 successor expected to be revealed at NAB (Updated)

A few people are telling me that Panasonic plan to show a mock up of the AF100’s successor at NAB. The model number has been set, and will be revealed along with the main specs.

UPDATE – the product is not necessarily a replacement for the AF100, but Panasonic will definitely be showing a prototype new camera.

Enabling shallow DOF and low light on Panasonic LA7200 anamorphic with LOMO Foton

Diopters are somewhat of a miracle with anamorphic lenses. My Tokina +0.4 helped cut the minimum focus distance of my Isco down to less than 4ft from 2 meters and helped sharpen it up at fast apertures like F1.4.

Computar 12mm F1.3 with full sensor coverage on the GH2 and AF100

Stanley Kubrick often used to like shooting with an 18mm lens for his trademark wide angle style, with S35mm film. The 18 is roughly 24mm in 35mm photography terms.

A more recent example is the Canon 24mm F1.4L on a 5D Mark II used to such great effect in Undercity (below). It is this kind of look I want to create with my GH2.
