I think it would be against UK and US law as well not to mark it as sponsored content.
If these posters / companies own up now and come out of the closet, I'll consider the matter closed. If not, there will be hell to pay.

I am not worried about hundreds of lenses. I am happy mounting adapted lenses for special purposes, and obviously all my manual focus lenses will be fine. If the F mount lenses focus at native speeds, there is not even any need for long wildlife lenses; a Z mount version of those is hardly going to be much more compact.
What I really need though is an affordable, practical, compact, lightweight f2.8 run and gun standard lens like the Tamron 28-75. We know it can be done.

    That's great Andrew.
By the way have you heard of the Canon EOS R? I've been trying it all weekend and it's just fantastic!

That's actually the Moza Air X. The Air 2 is basically Moza's version of the DJI Ronin-S.
But yeah, I'm stoked about the Air X. Seems more versatile to me than the new Zhiyun Crane 3 Lab, so I was surprised to see hardly anyone talking about it while Photokina happened.

@Thomas Hill I love that you’re using these cameras for narratives. Being a writer/director of horror and thriller, I’d love to hear more about what you’re doing. Also, are you shooting handheld with IBIS?

It looks like they're actually $4,999.00 apiece, but $7,995.00 for a set? Not 100% sure though.

I liked the SLR Magic 17mm and 35mm. And the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm and 21mm cine lenses were pretty nice looking as well.

Exactly. It's a very versatile focal length for a "one prime lens only" option for narrative filmmaking and has something of a natural cinematic look to it IMO. Even when I was looking at the Voigtlander lenses, I was always focusing on their 17.5mm for that exact reason.

Yeah a 35mm equivalent FOV is a great one lens prime option for narrative filmmaking... get a little wide and with a fast lens, you get a little shallow depth... zoom in and out with your feet.

Yes absolutely viable but Nikon's marketing department probably doesn't even know what an anamorphic is!!

Well I think those Clutch Olympus lenses Have to be the way to go for video. Panasonic, Olympus are Not noted for killer AF in video mode!
Hey your getting smarter by the minute LoL. Good move. But it still is not wide enough to me. But I realize you have to start someplace. I would rather have the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8

Actually, thinking more on it, I might just go ahead and save up for the Olympus 17mm f1.8 for now. The Sigma 18-35/Viltrox adapter combo is going to end up totaling around a thousand bucks for me, so it'd be nice to pick up at least one or two more affordable M43 native prime lenses to use on the G85 in the meantime.

If I did go that route, I may spend the extra and get the G9 for the updated IBIS and 4K 60p. I saw an open box G9 for $1100 the other week on eBay.
For $400 more, it might be worth it.

Well, it seems he is planning on using the camera for narratives, so how well these lenses AF with horrific Panasonic AF probably isn’t a big concern.
The 17mm has the MF clutch as well.

I really want Nikon Z6 to be a very successful camera, I just wished a 4K 60p internally. C'mon Nikon, surprise everyone at Z6 launch, you can do it ?
I have one question, when changing between photo and video mode, does it keep the values from each mode? I hate to keep changing  the shutter, iso, aperture when going from photo to video. And this new Nikon' Z6 is possibly my new future camera, a really hybrid camera. And then I can sell my D600 and Samsung NX1.

I had a G7 for a while and am very familiar with the camera. I sold it once I decided to go the Raw route. The G85 would be a great second camera for me and other than IBIS, it fixes one major flaw of the G7... its plastic build... I was often afraid I would break the thing when I opened and turned the LCD screen. If Panasonic would just include the all-i 1080p features from the FZ2500/GH4/GH5 in the G9, then that would be a great option for me as well. But even as-is, the G9 with 4K 60p is definitely a great upgrade if you tire of the G85.

Oh you made a really good choice with the G85. It has made some really good videos on here. It really is all you need to get the job done. Great at photos also.  All these newer cameras test the people skills more than the camera skills. ?

Can you please ask if Fujifilm has any plans to make some cine lenses for the GFX 100 in the near future or down the line, since the company is clearly prepping for the day Medium Format becomes more common?

Yup. There's no such thing as "the perfect camera."
If some people here end up preferring the EOS-R over its competition, then that's great! Everyone has different tastes and want different things out of their cameras. Personally speaking though, it's hard to think of enough reasons to justify spending that extra $300 for the EOS-R compared to the A7iii or Z6 or the extra $800 if you're considering something like the Fuji X-T3. It's just a question of what ends up happening regarding the majority of the market compared to the minority.

Obviously there are compromises, that's just inevitable, but compare it to the competition it's supposed to be targeting (the Sony A7iii and Nikon Z6). I'm just one person, but while there are obviously some very exciting things about the new R line (especially the lenses), the camera itself just feels like it falls short compared to its two obvious competitors... and it's overpriced compared to either camera at that.
That's part of what doomed the Fuji X-H1 earlier this year when Sony announced the A7iii mere weeks afterward for a similar price range (and in fact was less expensive if you bought the X-H1 with the battery grip for its full potential IIRC).
    Hugh Brownstone nailed it IMO.

I'm not saying that the EOS-R is a bad camera. I haven't touched one myself, and I doubt I'll get the chance anytime soon personally, so I can't really comment on that. But at the end of the day, the price is inevitably a factor here since this camera doesn't just exist inside a vacuum. The context of the camera market and what other options are out there now to compare the EOS-R to factor in with that price and the camera just seems like it's bound to fall short for most.
