  1. your right that vegan crap will kill you, best not to go anywhere near it, i'd be asking mister trump for extra cash to build some of your own walls. while your at it use some of those funds to get a bmp4k so that you could document the whole process for posterity ?
  2. welcome to the internet when my bmp4k finally turns up (which reminds i must email the company and ask if they actually meant nov/dec 2019 delivery not 2018 but i digress ) i plan on doing a full review on the bmp4k and my two gopros. it will be totally impartial, irrelevant, pointless and probably many other things but hey that doesn't seem to stop anyone else so stay tuned....... it will be next level i promise ? edit: i'm increasingly disenchanted with camera comparisons or maybe its the amateurs doing these vlogs but personally i don't find alot of substance in them. i don't find much new information and at the end i cant help but feel cheated out of a few precious minutes of my life not to mention several megabytes of data i'll never get back. i guess for me its more i bought my camera have paid for it, now for me i need to learn what i can do with it. i really don't care how it compares to other cameras.
  3. i'm a long way away from england and the eu. but i'm struggling to find a link between the average iq of dpreview forum members and britex ....maybe thats why britain wants out too many dpreview members in the eu perhaps ? i like your dad ? here in aus, we are not even allowed to play with fire crackers anymore to have a cannon would be tremendous fun?
  4. i guess its only to be expected that with the fine threads and being screwed together for decades or perhaps longer that theses things would just about weld themselves together. good to hear that you had success in the end ?
  5. see there is always someone who overreacts ?
  6. i'm not convinced.... when you talk run and gun... i'm thinking tv remotes for everyone. ?
  7. guns don't kill people, farmers with pretty daughters kill people with guns ? guns are designed for one thing only to kill other things either close up or far away pros : they fast acting... unless badly targeted cons : can be noisy i have guns however i own a farm and they do get used for dispatching sick animals and feral animal control. the vast amount of people in this world do not need guns. if you need a gun for protection then there is something fundamentally wrong with your society. more guns wont fix that all you'll get is more mourning on both sides of a bad equation. with the internet . unfortunately there is no sorting hat that can segregate dumb-asses into a separate kindergarten level like internet. that would be like heaven but more tech inclined and less harps ? so when visiting an online forum one should wear protection. actually protection should be mandatory especially for brief interludes with the opposite gender that would prevent even more dumb-asses from being created. heck lets just legislate to breed, you need a permit and pass a test .... a marriage license just doesn't cut it anymore ?
  8. i have two older nikons, two older canons and two gopros and a bm p4k which isn't here yet i'm confused.... not sure which camp i belong in ?
  9. ah i see. i think i have seen a bit of 360 vr with 4,5 or 6 gopros strapped together and the results stitched together to make 360 vr i presume thats similar to what your doing ? edit : sorry to the fanboys for going off topic.....
  10. are you sure you haven't missed any little screws around the outside ? i have heard of paint covering them over, making disassembly near impossible
  11. ah sorry, somehow i didn't join the dots correctly. now that you clarified your situation i can see where your coming from ?
  12. not sure what you mean ? but i do believe those that have paid for their cameras should receive them before their available to go and buy of a retail shelf . otherwise how is what you want to do any different from some obnoxious person running to the front of a line at a supermarket ? although its safe to say bm logistics are a little screwed up anyway
  13. your right of course, however once something is posted to the internet, be it here or another forum or youtube it does tend to get critiqued regardless of original intentions. the internet with its anonymity does tend to bring the best out in those people who engage their mouth before putting their brain into action. sad but true . personally i think the internet word for 2019 should be " RESTRAINT " that and a bit less red cordial would make for a much nicer internet experience , but i'm not holding my breath i think the slomo stuff is a bit of a fad, people are a bit enamoured with it at the moment and i don't mind it, if its not overdone. but i'm thinking it may take awhile to die down to a more normal level if it is they should immediately ship it out here to fill my back order ?
  14. well your not playing with marbles , one needs a bit of room to run around and kick a football..... its a no brainer really ? i doubt every country town has a full size field however the bigger cities and capitals would have full size fields.
  15. to generalize i think with 16/9 you can squeeze it 1.33 times and 4/3 you can squeeze it 2 times . you could also squeeze 16/9 2x however you would have really wide video and have to crop it later you would probably have wider black bars top and bottom as well. thats my limited understanding of hows it works hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in shortly with a more technical reply. i might go read andrews reids anamorphic ebook again it may have some info that would be relevant.
  16. i was watching a lens on ebay a couple of months ago that had a similar look happening with the bokeh. only thing i remember about it was it had trioplan or diaplan as the lens description, that wasn't the brand, i think it was more the type of lens it was but they do give an interesting bubble like effect. do you have any video footage of it ? i'd like to see what happens when either the camera moves or the background moves
  17. if you tried the rubber wrenches the next step up is a couple of big adjustable pipe wrenches with some rubber wrapped around the isco to stop it getting marked. a vise can be handy too. you are undoing anti clockwise right ? mine unscrewed anti clokwise anyway. there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason, some parts undo pretty easy and then there will that one piece that will take a vise and pipe wrench to get apart. there's no logic whatsoever. i think bold had some luck heating his up in an oven to expand the metal then undid it but you would want to be careful doing that. you could try some wd-40 lubricant on it. just a dab mind you, capillary action will wick it into the threads a couple of dabs over 24 hours would help. i would just go with the vise and pipe wrench just becareful not to over tighten it and crush it
  18. er... i think i have to put my hand up for all of the above except the storage, i have that covered at least i think. but you could be right about there being a few up for resale shortly. but i also think its about perseverance or willpower perhaps, if you want something bad enough then you will make it happen one way or another. i imagine its going to be a pretty steep learning curve right from the get go. probably great for everyone who makes computers and the other bits as we will forced to upgrade to do anything in a reasonable amount of time. i am of the opinion that for the price point that this camera comes in at, its worth jumping in at the deep end boots an all then thrash around like a madman trying to stay afloat.? its like xmen stuff adapt or die perhaps ? i know of 1 at least thats still on back order ? and its kinda shameful they don't look after the people in their own country first, any one would think its all about financial gain ?
  19. there's no way i can watch any lana del ray video and be objectionable, she's just too damn talented and not to mention pretty ?
  20. that's up there with britains got talent, all those ballerinas and magicians and people that are using projections and video techniques to add interesting elements to their performances. good work
  21. i hope that dude washed his hands first
  22. nato handle comes in 5.56 mm and has an extra external trigger, not for an external sound recorder or hdmi recorder as you might expect. but rather if you pull the wrong trigger someone gets dead'ed,made for the american cinematographer / prepper who loves to be prepared even while at work. come in your two traditional camo styles and an urban camouflage and a popular blackout option for the taticool cinematographer. ? edit : you may or may not have noticed, i'm a bit bored at the moment ?
  23. how do you find them ? i have been happy with both my gopro's
