I've mostly used the Moza Air with the GH5 and G85, so I can't really help you too much other than to say that micro jitters aren't uncommon when using lower end gimbals with non stabilized bodies / lenses. You can do things to try and minimize it (Ninja walk!) but a lot of times they'll still show up. What percentage of your work will be commercial and what will be travel? I think for travel I'd lean towards the GH5 because of the IBIS. Personally I rarely use my gimbal because the combination of IBIS and stabilized lenses gives me such a nice, natural handheld look. I also appreciate being able to shoot with such a stripped down set up. I can literally just shoot with the camera, no rig or stabilization, and get great results. The IBIS also works great with adapted lenses! For more planned / studio shoots the GH5s is really great, too. It has better color, better low light, and better image quality. I don't know if this helps at all!

I don't see what is so unbelievable about this rumor? I feel Panasonic has been pretty good about delivering on stuff like this.

I don't understand the move towards XQD when it's not necessary from a tech standpoint. If SD cards are sufficient why go XQD, other than to push a new more expensive format on consumers?

Dropbox is roughly around that price, too. Google Drive though works well, and though it says you have a 2 TB limit I believe they don't actually enforce it. I have both, since a lot of people I work with use Dropbox and it's easier for them to use.

Canon produces nicer colors than Sony, yes, but no newer camera really "destroys" any other newer camera. They're all capable of producing good video, even Sony. The major difference is personal preference and workflow. Which is the best tool for your type of work? @Mattias Burling has always had the right attitude, I think. He uses the Canon EOS R because it's the right tool for him and his work. Nothing more, nothing less. He's not going on about how it "destroys" this camera or that camera, because even if it were true it's not really relevant. What's good for you might not be good for me and features that are important to you might not be important to me. All of these cameras will still be able to produce "good enough" images 5 years from now, even as new cameras with better specs get released, just as there are people producing good videos today using old GH cameras or old Canon Rebel cameras. You ask what camera can touch the Z6? Pretty much all of them, honestly. And that's okay. Almost all of the things you praise about the Z6, including the sensor size, are "specs." ?

The GH5, with its 4k 60p and much better stabilization. When did hyperbolic nonsense pass from camera manufacturers to the actual camera users? These are cameras, not sports teams. Give it a rest with the "x destroys x!" stuff.

Didn't Jon leave?! Fujifilm really does have my favorite color science, even though I don't shoot with them! Sony... Not so much. What I wanna know is, what caused this recent uptick of people praising Sony's color? I've seen people gushing over the video color science lately and I just don't get it. Did they get a memo from Sony?! ?

Honestly, as a M43 user, the Nikon appeals to me more than the A7iii overall. I prefer the color straight out of camera on the Nikon, and should they really add RAW out via HDMI that's more innovative than anything Sony has done in a long while. The tech gap between Sony and everyone else in the full frame market has narrowed significantly. I don't think they really lead in innovation anymore; that honor I think goes to Panasonic at this point. Sony hit a home run with the A7iii, but that also had as much to do with price than anything.

If you have Nikon glass and want a full frame mirrorless camera why wouldn't you want a Z6?

What's reasonably priced for you? ? I use the Sirui T-005 that @Mattias Burling turned me on to years and years ago when he also sold me on the original Pocket. It's nice and compact, and I think was in the $150 range. It's well made, all aluminum, and I usually carry it on the side of my backpack when traveling. Looks like it has gone down in price! I voted Fujifilm ? Between the two, with minimal processing, I appreciate Canon more. Sony is capable, if you use the newer cameras and really work on it, but you can honestly even shoot JPEG on a Canon and get lovely colors ready to print. The same goes for video, though I'd give overall IQ to Sony in that department. Color wise though it's just hard for Sony to compare when you see them side by side.

The idea of M43 being the testing ground for these kinds of things is kinda exciting and confirms what I, and others, thought about Panasonic using the system to lead the way when it comes to features. For some Full Frame will always be king, but if they can keep M43 small and innovative my interest in the system will remain. Give me the benefits of the smaller sensor, please!

But I am not sure when it will go live (gh6/7/8) Time of Flight measures accurate distances to subjects, so tap on touchscreen for subject to focus on, get an almost instant ToF reading to distance, quickly move lens focus system to where it needs to be for that distance (no contrast “wobble”, no overshooting, pinpoint accurate video tracking focus, etc). In theory, it beats “hybrid” (ie PDAF + CDAF like in the Sony/Fuji) because it eliminates the need for any back and forward movements that are required by CDAF calculations! It also eliminates PDAF sensor banding that Sony cleverly hides (but Canon and Nikon haven’t mastered the cover up quite as well, it can be seen in shadow recovery). Panasonic will use MFT as testing and maturing grounds for new developments (ToF AF, organic sensors, etc), much like Olympus does for their MFT > medical devices This sounds like the holy grail of autofocus! No PDAF artifacts and superfast autofocus system!

The original Pocket is another camera I'd argue had mojo, at least from the viewpoint of someone that came from camcorders. The images it produced just blew me away.

I don't think people should have expected different from Sony once it became obvious it was the A7R IV. Like others I'm not sure that this update was really necessary, but that kinda seems to be Sony's thing right now. I think Sony has hit a wall when it comes to tech. I think they'll eventually figure it out, but at this point it's really the only excuse for why the A7Siii hasn't been announced that makes sense. If I was Nikon I'd be fast tracking development on a video centric FF camera that ticked all the boxes that people want from a A7Siii. And if I was Panasonic I'd just give in and give people PDAF on the S1H. I know it's not that easy, but what a gut punch either one of those would be to Sony! Sony left themselves wide open but no one really capitalized on it.

I still notice it on anything below 12mm. It's really bad on my 7-14 f4.

I really want this lens but the price is just too much for my blood until I see what the future holds for M43 as a whole. I wonder how corner stabilization is on the wide end in video. This is my only complaint about Panasonic IBIS. You get a lot of wobble with super wide lenses.

I've never seriously looked at getting a RED camera, so color me shocked to see they were charging $2,500 for an SSD. Even if I had the budget I'd never shoot on that, out of principle.

You'd want to ask the seller what firmware it is by looking in the menus. Are you sure you don't just want to get a camera that doesn't have a recording limit? The A6400 might be a better option if you're looking for a Sony camera.
