The AF on the 1Dx II is really good, this is a test video for a project I will do for in August... don't look at the exposure issues because it was a 1h test mostly to see how to combine a DJI P4p and the 1Dx II. There are some scenes at speed on the skates filmed at 24 at 1.4 on the Ronin M using AF and it keeps up quite well... Filmed with both cameras at 4k but there are quite a bit of moments that I'm digitally zooming at 2x.
 
 
120 is at 1080p but is a bit on the soft side so probably is around 720p real resolution... comparing 4k 60fps to 1080p 120fps is really day and night but for short scenes I tend to use it quite a bit when I know that 60fps would not be enough... 

I literally have the ability to sell my 1DC and accessories and buy a 5D IV today. I would not do it. The 1DC has a mojo to it that is sorta indescribable. A 24-105 on it looks amazing even at F4 because of the full frameish 4k. 
One thing people fail to mention is the lack of cut off you get with the 1DC AND the really sharp and really high quality Super35 mode. I've shot super35 mode for times when 4k isn't needed and it holds up better than our C100 because of the better sensor. 
You can buy them at a steal today on the used market. 
I always use a monitor or evf tho and that kinda sucks but it's worth the trade off. 
I basically pretend that the 1DC is like an Arri Alexa Mini or RED camera and it suits my needs well. No AF for video but amazing 4k.

Unless you are upgrading to the 1DXMK2. No point going from the 1DC to the 5MkIV.  The C-log is welcomed addition but what else?
If the 5DMKIV gets hacked by ML. Then, I will consider it.

I agree and other than 4K 60p it's hard to see what else they can add. 20mp sensor, lossless ex. tcv, headphone jack, 120p? I also agree that they could put 60P in the next G camera some time next year maybe, but I'm not sure it's possible due to overheating. The GH5 is huge compared to the G85. 
I think the next will be GX9, and it will be aimed for photographers with dual card slots but not v-log, 10 bit etc. 
Only time will tell, but for now I'm very happy with my setup with G85 and GH5  Will probably sell the GX85 soon.

Yes, the Gh5 is  Video first and has more features for video. But color and image matters. This is decent. 

Panasonic can shuffle around their company as much as they like, but until they offer colour science on par with Canon and Nikon, a log profile that is useable and good video AF, i stand by my switch from the GH line to an 8bit 1080 camera (C100Mkii) and for small body 4K an XC10. 

The C-log would be a welcomed improvement to the 5d mark iv imo. But it's not a deal breaker 
No disrespect to these user made log profiles. They are great but they just don't have the same kick as the C-log.
An improvement on the crop however would be a big bonus.
 
I think the log would be more appreciateon on the 1dx mark ii .
The 1dc with a dpaf improvement would be my deal choice, however I believe they are done with the camera.

Thanks  guys, Yeah, I have decided to settle for the the 1DC. I will probably do same as treb999 and upgrade to the 1DXii later down the line. 
Thanks Andrew. I have been following this forum for years but never posted. Some great reviews over the years.

I was waiting patiently for the 5D IV to be met with major disappointment ... Just grabbed two 1DCs for work and I am very happy. I worked with the 1DXii but honestly we dont record in 60 and have no need for auto focus. I prefer to have the Clog and also really love being able to change the crop in 1080 when needed. I also like the 'look' of the 1DC as it just says film to me over some of the other options total personal preference. Its a large codec but when you go in and pull a 4K frame you will see why. I have worked with the Sony A7 line and in low light the images pulled look blah... Andrew has offered us an excellent Clog alternative which we are using on the 1DCs so we can match our 5Ds when needed. I think the 1DXii is awesome but for me I really love the 1DC.
