  1. Yes. I have been using V60 Cards with the GH5 and with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4k.
  2. I like the user interface and how easy it is to find and select the settings you want to use. I really like the image and the motion from the camera. There seems to be less ghosting in 24 fps than I was getting with my GH5. For me, it is easier to get the image I want in camera as long as I am not in the scene. I was getting about 40 minutes per battery. 5 batteries got me through a Quinceanera gig, but I was sweating toward the end. One battery left with about 70%. Storage was a challenge. I started with ProRes HQ and ended the day in ProRes 422 and ProRes LT. The lack of a remote live view was only an issue because my friends and I had a horror movie contest for Halloween. The rules were: One person had to do everything. There could be no help. We had to write it, shoot it, act in it, edit it, and put it online. The challenge was getting the footage I needed in a timely fashion. I shot my video the morning of the deadline, put it together, and uploaded on time.
  3. It was more me being sad that such an app doesn't exist. Instead of just moping around I put together a video of how I use the Panasonic App. Maybe someone in the loop will see that and decide it's a feature worthy of being in future cameras.
  4. I spent a day testing Freetail V60 SD Cards, a couple UHS-I cards and a Class 4 SD card to see what modes would work with the media. Freetail Evoke Pro C4k and UHD Prores HQ UHD 24 fps Prores 422 C4k 30fps Prores Proxy C4k 60fps HFR C4k and UHD Prores 422 C4k 30/24fps Prores Proxy C4k 60/24fps Freetail Evoke Pro 1080 CDNG RAW Lossless 1080 30fps Prores HQ 1080 60fps Prores Proxy 1080 120fps HFR 1080 Prores 422 1080 30/24fps Prores 422 1080 60/24fps Prores Proxy 1080 120/24fps
  5. I don't think it has Cinema 4k at all. It looks like it is UHD with the option of 23.976 or 24.0 I was hoping someone with the camera would confirm or deny.
  6. I was looking at the specs on the Olympus site. It says it has both 23.976 and Cinema 24.0 fps. I haven't seen that anywhere else. Is that true?
  7. Do any of the BlackMagic Design Camera have pixel mapping or pixel refresh? If not, that is a feature I would like to see added.

  9. I don't remember any recent GH camera having a 29 minute recording limit. GH4, GH5, and GH5s should all record until your battery fails or you run out of space on the card.
  10. Try 30fps and slower movement if you are shooting UHD. 60fps if you are shooting 1080p.
  11. At 3:30 in the video he mentions: "GH5 firmware to enhance performance might be developed if there is customer demand." What are some realistic performance enhancements for the GH5? Also, what ever happened to 48fps? It was a noted feature of the Summer 2017 firmware update.
  12. I wonder if some of the issues with Cadence have to do with the monitors being used and the settings. I can see differences in the fluidity of movement. I have several monitors and televisions. How the image is being processed and what settings are being used is very important. The same image on one display or monitor may seem a bit off compared to one of my televisions.

  14. Selling Pansononic GH5. It was purchased for a video project that never happened. It has Never been used on a shoot. There have been no photos taken using the mechanical shutter. The only action it has seen was me taking it out of the box and trying out the 6k photo mode and stabilization features. This consisted of me literally walking around the house shooting video. It has all of the accessories, manuals, etc. It also has the receipt. I also have two Brand New still in the package PNY 128 GB 95 MB/s U3 memory cards. I will sell those for $55 a piece or $100 for both. If you purchase the entire lot for $2000 I will throw in a 3rd 128 SD Card. It is a SanDisk 128 GB 90 MB/s U3 memory card. I used it for the walking around the house taping and maybe a volleyball game on my G7. I accept Paypal. Same day shipping as purchase.
  15. GH5 10-bit is no problem at all. The files play fluidly.

Yes. I have been using it for the past year. It struggles with h.264 in version 12.5, but the 14 beta is chugging along just fine. Looking forward to great things once the official version of 14 rolls out.

Davinci Resolve 14 Announcement. No clue what is in it yet. I'm watching it live.

I moved over to Davinci Resolve Studio. Version 12.5 on PC has a few issues (GH5 10-bit 4k) and is a bit less complete as an NLE, but the engineers behind it have been pretty good at getting bug fixes and other verified issues solved by the next update.
  20. Agreed. I hope they do implement each and every item we mentioned. That camera would be the Holy Grail for many of us. Well, at least until the next Holy Grail. Right now, I am looking forward to using the GH5 on my next feature, and honestly, I will be content for quite some time. Keeping up with the Cinematic Joneses is both expensive and time consuming. I get more accomplished when I am not researching the next big thing.
  21. " That is a lot for Sony to add. They still haven't added Cinema 4k or an actual 24fps option. Canon, Panasonic, and Olympus all have those two features in their flagship models. They also need to find a definitive way of keeping their cameras from overheating during normal use.
