Hey Luca, you've sabotaged yourself :P I'm holding out for the electronics now that I know they're coming. Even if there isn't AF working yet, at least so I can attach my chip in between without trying to machine my own holes or something. You've probably leapfrogged me by a lot on the electronic control, but if there's anything I can do to help let me know.
Hello ttbek, how are you?
You must keep up to date, if you come on the forum every month you will always find new surprises.
The next series will predisposition of electrical contacts.
I will make a version NXL mute and a version with electronic controls.
Currently, for practical reasons, it is being tested, the Aputure Dec control that allows:
1) iris control Canon lenses;
2) Stabilizer Canon lenses;
3) WiFi Control focus;
4) recording 2 subjects for quick changes of focus.Currently I started the study of a smart autofocus system, but this will take a little time.
How can you help me? Been programming? You want to finance my project? Or both?
P.S. If you ship me the NXL I can update it for telephoto compatibility.

Do you mean the very first sold from September? How many items you've created and sent already? Please, you have to understand us, we are investing without any guarantee and obligations.
No. I've sent all NXL sold in 2016.
In approximately one week, I will ship the first eleven sold in 2017.Best

Dear Luca, how many sponsors do you consider with current NXL-funding? Today you have 10 sponsors and 20 days due. I appreciate your comment on max number of Sponsors and NXL-Items you are considering to create. Thanks.
Hello Ikslim, I build them in sets of 10 pieces at a time.
Next week I will send the first 10 already sold, for the next production will have to wait a month, but it will have some constructive improvements and also the predisposition for electrical controls.Best

wow this says uncompressed recording... is that basically raw?
Yes, I try it, it's very clean but Premiere no read the h265 raw codec.. :-(

Dear Luca,
I do appreciate tremendous amount of work you've done by creating NXL!!!As far as part of NXL adapter dive deep into NX1 body, I appreciate your comment on PhotoMode-MechanicalShutter compatibility.
I had experience with BMPC>>GH4 MetaboneSpeedBooster, and it was limited to VideoMode only, caused by part of the adapter diving into GH4 body. Accidental press of Photo-Release button, which enables Mechanical Shutter >> destroys Mechanical Shutter of the camera.
As far as can see, NX1 Mechanical Shutter mounted really deep into the NX1 body, straight before the Sensor. I assume there is no risk of damaging NX1 Mechanical Shutter with NXL mounted. But I appreciate if you confirm that mounted NXL does not affect Mechanical Shutter performance.
Thanks.Dear Iksim, no risk of damage to the camera with NXL, rather it protects the sensor from dust when changing lens outdoors.

For NX1 NX-KS Hack users:
Someone more experienced than me in programming is requested to test the Wifi bitrate hack on NX1 camera.
I received this directions from @KinoSeed
" here is the remote storage plugin:
https://github.com/mewlips/nx-netfs
but this is a bit tricky to install
if you simply want to test the speed - turn on the FTP with nk-ks, it's same at telnet - (EV+MOBILE), and using FTP client (for transfering files) connect to the camera on the IP shown on the camera-screen."
Thank you.

Wow, the tamron seems to have really good quality on NX1! If only such a lens could have a fast AF on our beloved samsung
Hello Marco, I work on it.
The Tamron it's very nice lens for only 120 euro!!
Ihkim it's lost again... But I work on my way ;-)

Is it not easier to get the camera to just dump 500mbit/s video files to an external harddrive via the USB 3.0 port?
I think so too, but I've never heard of 500Mbit / s with external recorder.
I have provided only official information, this can be useful to OttoK or Kino for Hack development.
There might be a flaw in the system which limits the data output from HDMI port but no impediments on wifi.
I think that on this point it is worth investigating.- Kisaha and Marco Tecno

Hello everyone, these days I started working in a new project for the construction of an smart adapter, by accident I discovered that the NX1 offers 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi wireless networking connectivity compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g/n, as well as the faster 802.11ac standard which has enough bandwidth to stream 4K video wirelessly over 500Mbit/s.
Can anyone verify this?- SMGJohn, Marco Tecno, LawDude and 1 other

Just need to use a Nikon to Canon adapter with it and you can use Nikon lenses. Of course some of the newer Nikons have the same annoyance as the Canon EF lenses in that aperture is controlled electronically, but if I recall correctly Nikon lenses will have the aperture closed all the way in that case while the Canon lenses are a somewhat more workable wide open in that situation. For Canon lenses you can use a trick to get the aperture you want if you also have a Canon body, what you do is to put the lens on the body, set the aperture you want with the camera on, hold down the DOF preview button and remove the lens from the camera while it is on (do make sure IS/OS/OIS/etc.. is off for this, I haven't heard of damage from this but all the lens instruction manuals warn about removing or putting on the lens with this on), that aperture will then stay set until put back on another Canon body.
Hello ttbek, I solved the vignetting problem, do you need upgrade your NXL adapter to v.2 to use it with telephoto?

Smart Adapter
In: Cameras
33 minutes ago, SMGJohn said:Is it impossible at this stage to make an electronic adapter?
Techart Pro with electric connection to lens for stabiliser would be amazing, its no point if the electronic lens is not activated and it just adjusted it as if was a manual lens, there was a guy who managed to make the Samsung communicate with Canon lenses with a conversion board.
I agree with you John, I think it is better complete control of Canon lenses that partial control of all lenses, but I have to look ahead and work on a long-life project.
You have the website of this guy who built this conversion board? My project is different but it could be a useful see his work. -
Smart Adapter
In: Cameras
I have reflected on the possibility of building a smart adapter,
But before working on this project I would like to ask you friends of the forum, which would you prefer:1) Aputure Dec
2) Techart ProAputure Dec has the advantage of remote manual control, no mechanism on the adapter, built-in battery, open the iris and the display showing the iris aperture values.
Disadvantages, it works only with Canon EF lenses.
Techart Pro has the extraordinary advantage of transforming all manual lenses with auto focus lenses, and since the thickness can mount almost all existing lenses.
Disadvantages, can not adjust the aperture of the iris of Canon EF lenses, no remote control.
This question is not an official communication to work on Autofocus system to Samsung, this depends on the time and money that I can spend, I just want to do a survey to see what you prefer.
I look forward to hearing your opinions.
- write 1) for Apture Dec;
- write 2) for Techart Pro.
Thank you

Good evening everyone,
Love the NX1, a shame that there is no more support, but you got to do the most with what you got. I was wondering can this adapter work for Nikon lens or is it just Canon? I just bought a tamron g2 150-600 lens and I just use an Nikon adapter for it. Would this improve the pictures? I would love to get this adapter eventually. God blessHello bdzigo, in this link you found the answers for your questions!

Samsung NX Speed Booster

Hello ttbek,
given that, Aputure Dec is not a fallback of Metabones, is a different adapter that will appeal to filmmakers, I do not know filmmakers who shoot with autofocus and if it is used with Steadicam or crane is superior because it gives you the ability to remotely control the lens directly from the handle.
If you need the electronic contacts to transfer data between the camera and the lens I can do it. I have already designed this.
I appreciate the work you're doing, I hope it may be useful to get a smart adapter.
As for your offer of 10k, it's always too vague, I can build a "real autofocus system" but I believe that you are using money as the jockey uses the carrot with the horse, although he gallops the carrot is always one step forth from his face ..
