Great thread idea, unfortunately the first couple of upload links have already expired.
Andrew, maybe you could post some instructions for people who want to share their files, to post them on a permanent hosting platform?

Mattias, would it be possible to reupload those RED files again? Would love to try them out in FCPX.

Here are a couple BMPCC ProRes LT files with the 14mm Lumix lens at ISO800:

Got a great deal on a new BMPCC during a Black Friday sale for nearly 50% off. It's my first Blackmagic camera (I have the Micro pre-ordered) and have been eager to pair it with the Trump lens set I ordered from Richard Gale. I took possession of the set a couple weeks ago and have started shooting a short film with it. I love the versatility in terms of contrast control (from standard to ultra-low) and the variety of aperture discs. The 2x and 3x ovals are my favorite. Made a quick comparison of the two here.
But this week I finally started shooting a short I've wanted to do for some time. I work professionally as a freelance editor so this project is being done as schedules allow. Shooting RAW has been an eye-opener for me. For the last year I've been trying to wrestle a GH4 into being something it just wasn't capable of. And have come to the conclusion that I should have traded 4K for color science and dynamic range a long time ago.

I actually find the colour from my C100 to be missing just a little something. So today I shot some colour charts with my Fuji XT10 and matched them to those shot with my c100 and created a LUT, which I am happy to share with you guys.
There are plenty of LUTs out there, as well as plugins like FilmConvert but they often change the feeling of the image a bit too much. I just wanted something that would improve the colour a little.
I shot the colour charts with all the different colour profiles but the results didn't really change much.
I have attached two files. I'd recommend using the Provia one most of the time. The Chrome one is just slightly different.
It would be interesting to hear how this LUT affects footage from other cameras too.

    Hello everybody,
I just made a free iPhone app to apply some cine looks on photos, inspired by 35mm film prints renders.
The app is named GAMMA 35mm : https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gamma-35mm/id1071684697?l=fr&ls=1&mt=8
The filters are inspired by real film prints, like the Kodak Ektar 100, Kodachrome 64 or Lomography CN 100 or Kodak Vision3.
Inspired only, not the exact emulation.
GAMMA is fresh, published only few days ago, and completely free without annoying ad.
In future updates I'll create more filters and improve the existing ones.
Feel free to post photos on Instagram with the hashtag #gamma35mm.
    Feedback and suggestions appreciated

Yeah, I love stuff like that! Director's takes on gear, techniques and ideas. Have seen Rodney out with the Newsshooter team getting a look at all the new stuff coming out at these tech innovation events and appreciating the somewhat lower end gear as well. Which I think is really cool that established cinematographers maintain to be grounded and open-minded about these things.
Then there's the 'the full Cinematographer Roundtable will air on Close Up With The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. ET on Sundance TV' which I'm stoked for to see. There's already some snippets up at http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/cinematographer-roundtable-cons-cg-betraying-851551 . Those always give great insight on the way cinematographers approach things.
Ooh, only just now I noticed the one with the directors already aired: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/video/watch-thrs-full-uncensored-director-851649 .

I thought I'd make a sticky thread for sharing original camera files direct off the card.
Always interesting for people to try the original files without having to look at someone else's grading and compression via Vimeo or YouTube!
Let's get a bunch of stuff up here and make a little vault!
We have so many cameras between us on these forums. 1D C, Red One, Cinema DNG, C300 II, FS7, we can really build up a nice collection.
    Here's my initial contribution:
    XAVC-L from the FS5 in 8bit 4K and 10bit 1080p -
    http://we.tl/yQO2ZM4HdA
Comparison with Cinema DNG raw from the 5D Mark II / Magic Lantern -
    http://we.tl/HOACsCROeZ
Got any Red ONE files Mattias?
Also we need to find a better file host than WeTransfer as that only keeps hold of stuff for a couple of weeks and after that we'd have a bunch of dead links. But if you want to share WeTransfer links anyway, please do go ahead until we find a more permanent solution and I will keep a backup of all the files on my drive.

I buy most of my stuff used. Simply because you get more for your money. And it was during the release of the A7rii and A7sii that I got the idea. Why pay such a premium price for a camera thats going to be worth half within a year? And what can I get for the same amount today?(It was the same reasoning that lead me into my recent film endeavor.) So I found myself looking at used cameras in the €3000 segment. At the top of my list where the Sony F35, but no luck (since I needed a recorder as well). I also looked at URSA, FS700, 1DC etc but none was a perfect match. So I started lurking the Red user forum. There I saw Red Scarlets ready to shoot with accessories for as low as $6000. And when I saw the Red One with everything you need + a set of Rokkinon prime lenses for  a crazy low $4000,I knew it would be the one.  That particular seller didn’t want to ship to Sweden, but another one did. In less than 24h from leaving Spain, this huge box sat on my floor.  (Disclaimer: All IMO of course, totally get why one would rather have an A7rii, its was just my personal thoughts.)

The Sony FS5 is a miniature version of the FS7 cinema camera and Sony's competitor to the Canon C100 Mk II.
It's also one of the most capable slow-mo cameras, with a 10bit 4:2:2 internal codec at 240fps.
