I also recommend the NX1 for the reasons above.

The NX1 has great 120 with very low rolling shutter.  The auto focus works OK with the Samsung 45mm.  The NX1 is pretty tall/large compared to the a6500 if you are trying to fly on a gimbal. I would strongly consider the GH5, though AF performance is not quantified as far as I am aware.

It is 8bit, true, and if you add speedbooster for 650euros, and battery grip to match a dSLR battery, and all the rest, and buy full frame lenses to put on the metabones, go buy a full frame already! If I was doing photography and I wanted the full frame look (noone buys m4/3 and then wants the "APS-C" look, have you ever heard that?!) then a D750 is a much better option, with millions of cheap used Nikon lenses around. As of the m4/3 size and weight mantra, Nikon D750 dimensions: 140.5x113x78 mm, 840grams and GH5 138.5 x 98.1 x 87.4 mm and 725gr. Add the Speedbooster, the battery grip, and you are exceeding a -not very small- classic dSLR body by much.
The power of GH5 is in video, not in photos, even though the 6K burst mode is interesting (and probably the future), "The company eventually plans to release future models with 8K, 32-megapixel capture in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.", that will be really interesting, and it fits perfectly their 3 years product circle that the industry tends to, and also give m4/3 the kiss of life, until then, APS-C could have reach 3-4 stops better high ISO though, and more than 32Megapixels natively, NX is 28 for 3 years now..

Gh5 is better on specs, but with that smaller sensor... We'll see.
 
A7s2...I would not trade my nx1 for it, being mainly a stills guy.

Not sure but a simple button push will let you use focus peaking anyway, Kinoseed one remembers your focus position after restart with wirefocus lenses if you set it in the options.
Kinoseed one is the slowest to load but its packed with features, the Vasile one is more video oriented and its as fast as a vanilla NX1/NX500 

Gh5, a7s2, i know that i m totaly crazy but...last week...i've buyed another nx1 body with...16-50 2-2.8...all of the other cameras have somenthing better than my sam...but..i really love the image that i can obtain with this "old" piece of electronic...

Not much a video guy. Say 5% or less, compared to stills. I'll wait for an apsc camera able to surpass nx1 in stills AND video.

The GH5 looks really good but I'll be sticking with my NX1 and NX500. I prefer recording 4k in H.265 recording format and APS-C sensor size.
The 400 mbs All-I frame recording sounds a little scary. 10-bit 4:2:2 is huge though...

Ok gang, I've got a new Carry Trainer video out. There's a different lens on my NX1 here.
This video was shot on my shoulder rig using the BMCC and NX1... again, the wider angle shot is the NX1.
Here the NX1 is using the 24mm Super Takumar F/3.5. At the start focus is soft on the NX1 until... around the 30 second mark on the video when I nail the focus. The NX1 produces a really nice image. Putting aside my shaky shooting with the shoulder rig, I'm really happy with the footage here.

@kinoseed  @Otto Actually, we were talking for getting a crop in NX1, NOT get rid of the crop in NX500. If you have a crop option in NX1 is like having 2 primes with one. Also, there is a variable scanning option in LS300 sensor, so from the 4K full sensor read out, you can zoom in (for full HD only ofcourse) and it is quite impressive, I have tested with Zeiss and Leica and the results are impressive, is like having a few small Leica zooms! 
Now with the GH5 out we have to up our game!
Some times like these I regret quitting programming for work!

There is also the GX850 noone is talking about! Perfect entry lever little cam, with G85(or GX) and GH5 you have a complete set for everything. My set right now, is NX1/NX500/NX3000, Panasonic is the only company that offers choices for similar uses.

Guess I'll keep browsing until good yet old-ass CCD videocams drop a bit more in price.
 
Ouch, I just saw them. I expected a lot less jello effect and RS, honestly. Guess I'll keep searching.

Aside from sensor size, on paper this is perfect.

Everyone should collectively not buy this camera until these features are released.  They could very easily delay the release of all these paid features..

I don't see anything mentioning H.265 there. Just plain MP4.
 
What I see is:
 * We still can't record DCI 4K in 25p or 30p (to have some horizontal wiggle room when delivering UHD)
* We still can't record anything internally when outputting 10Bit on the HDMI port. This likely also means still no Wifi remote control and likely no scopes when recording externally. (The missing Wifi really hurts.)
* All the nicer bitrates are for bandwidth-hungry All-I MP4 and regular IPB that makes efficient use of that bandwidth is crippled to 100/150Mbps. No ProRes or DNxHD that can be edited without transcoding unless you add a Shogun or Ninja Flame.
* no build in flash to carry it around and a "small" photo camera all these OTHER times.
 
On the plus side:
* screw-in HDMI cable holder is included
* better denoise and anti-rolling shutter by processing previous frames
* IBIS
* program 3 focus point and have smooth transitions in 5 speeds.
* more slow motion options

What I think is unfair is the fact that GH4 users that already paid for VLOG need to pay again if they want it on GH5. Panasonic should at least  provide a reduced "upgrade" price.

Dunno..at this level of gear, it seems ridiculous to suggest having to pay something for Vlog would prompt a shift to Sony or whatever.

Paid V-Log upgrade?! Seriously Panasonic? 

To be honest - I would expect here lot of bokehlicious photos or video frame grabs done with NX1 + NX speedbooster + some fast glass.

Actually, the same idea applies to nx1, which has been out since nov 2014.

WARNING!  WARNING!  WARNING!
I noticed one of my footage files from the NX1 dropped frames today. It was a single isolated incident. At first I thought my non-linear editor was crapping out... but I traced it all the back to the original H265 file from my NX1. I'll describe what it looked like for the good of the community.
It occurred during a 8 minute clip with my camera running at the 180 bit rate. At about 3:45, the white balance jumped in a weird way and then five seconds of frames dropped. I could tell because I had to re-sync the audio and patch the hole with my C camera. Following the glitch, the camera continued recording to the file without anymore issues. The NX1 only did this once during my long shoot with 13 clips and about 100 GB worth of footage.
My conclusion from this is the 180 bit rate presents some risk with my SD cards... My setup is almost reliable. I think I'll dial it back to the 175 bit rate next time.

True, most pro people do not (especially the old ones, they don't like to share the "secrets" of the trade!), I am sure there are "amateurs" that have a much more "professional" attitude, skills and quality than self-proclaimed professionals. 

@lucabutera aren't any New Year Sales price, like 40% off or something?!!

The S lenses are the best AF lenses on the NX ecosystem, the 85 is one of the slowest, especially if you go fast. Quite a big lens, too much glass inside, old design, I wouldn't expect any better. Change the AF speed (I do not own this lens, I do not know), and see how it goes.
From time to time I have to work with 5Diii's and I can't stand the image anymore.
I am joking about Vasile, he did great for the whole community, but there are people like Otto and Kino Seed that did much too (if not more) and there are still around for a word or two!
I believe Otto was the last one had some kind of communication, I can not be sure of course.
