  1. Colors are pure beauty. I need to win the lottery
  2. The 5820K overclocks easy at 4.2Ghz aircooled, for more Ghz the temperatures go high very fast. We´ll see next year (Q3 2016) Broadwell E in same X99 mainboards: Core i7 6950X: 10 cores 3 GHz 3-3,5 GHz $999Core i7 6900K: 8 cores 3,3 GHz-3,7 GHz, $699Core i7 6850K: 6 cores 3,6 GHz-3,8 GHz, $450Core i7 6800K: 6 cores 3,4 GHz-3,6 GHz, $390
  3. I think they are very close. This video uses both https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hluPmVktqVk
  4. Yes, with 800€, take the LX100, the lens is super, truly portable cam and OIS works.
  5. Love the micro, but external monitor needed and I have not one. Pocket RAW saved may ass 2 weeks ago. I hope that the Pocket v2 will be announced maybe at NAB 2016
  6. Exactly, HFR modes like sony RX10 II, in camera OIS, better codecs and the dream would be 10 bit 4:2:2
  7. I thnk it´s time for the GH5, it was released in may 2014. I hope Panasonic announces the GH5 soon and that we can buy it on may-june 2016
  8. We did some just for fun: The Walkind Dead tribute in 2012, with a Panasonic SD700 camcorder, lot of mistakes but it was very fun to do it, and I learn a lot (I´m the zombie :)) And an english homework for my little cousin class, my first training with the BMPCC:
  9. Love spending time this way I don´t like fiseyes but very well used here
  10. Stacked sensor M43 Internal OIS 4K 10 Bit 4:2:2 Slowmotion 1080p 240
  11. I think Resolve needs 3Gb ram card to work, no matter the codec file you want to grade. Same with system ram, at least 8gb to work (16Gb recommended). 4K compressed needs lot of powa! I think it´s time to upgrade the 2011 Mac
  12. Masks work very good in After Effects. There are lots of tutorials of masking, it´s not dificult. https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/creating-shapes-masks.html https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/alpha-channels-masks-mattes.html In the composition, place down the "under the horizon" file 1 and up the "above the horizon" file 2. Mask the file 2 with the pencil or rectangular tool the from the "simple horizon" to the end of the frame (the part of the video that you don´t want in) And in the mask menu, select Substract (You see Normal, Add, Substract, etc). You will see now the file 1 frame and file 2 frame, one above the other. Here you can see how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzAkb7Cw0uM (Sorry for my english.)
  13. Nice that updating QT helped you. You can optimize your media with Resolve 12, this video helped me with long files (1 hour and more)
  14. Yes, CTRT, BMPCC is MFT mount, same as GH4. You can use your lenses.
  15. More than 1.000 for sure, but right now, I would buy: i7 5820K 6cores Haswell E (you can overclock it to 4,5Ghz at 1.3v) Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 (air) or Corsair Hydro (water) Mainboard: Asrock Extreme 4 X99 16GB 4x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws 4 Red 2133 CL15 2xSSD Samsung 850 Evo 500Gb (1xsystem and programs +1xvideo files) AMD 390x 8Gb Buy a good PSU (Corsair AX / HX / RM) and a Fractal Design case. 1.800€ You have to add the external storage that you need (2x3Tb Seagate or more)
  16. Clips will read faster and if you render at ssd writes will be faster too. A good SSD is near 450Mb-500Mb Write/Read
  17. At least 3Gb GPU, AMD (openCL) or Nvidia (CUDA) 1xSSD for System/Programs 1xSSD for clips
  18. Thank you for the clip Agolex, love the last 00:42 Sky. Could you post us more info about Slog2, grading, etc?
  19. Really nice post My bad paided works are always corporate videos, so nothing that I love there, but it helps to pay the equipment. Just for fun, I want to recreate the intro sequence of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Ghosbusters" museum scene trying not to loose much money. I have 2 friends at least as mad as me, I hope they help me
