  1. @Shield3 I see nothing wrong with what @DaveAltizer did. Adorama has a return policy. He used that return policy. He wasn't being deceptive or trying to "stick it to the man". Just because you feel guilty returning a camera after 75 clicks doesn't mean everyone else would. And what's with the "typical democrat" comment? There's nothing I can't stand more than ignorant political polarization. There's this thing called "nuance". I don't think @Andrew Oliver was saying it's ok because they are a huge company, rather a huge company has a return policy that obviously works for them otherwise they either wouldn't be a huge company anymore (if people were taking advantage of their return policy and they were losing money) or they wouldn't have that return policy. This is the free market at work. I thought you "typical Republicans" love free market capitalism.

  2. Vasile's mod (v5.3) with the bit rate works, and has been working, for me! For some scenes the bit rate isn't always at 180mbps. Some clips show in the 160s and 170s. But I guess it depends on the scene.

Ok , that means that I will never acheive the same cinematic quality of picture with the nx500 than with the bmpcc.

No, that's not what it means. I'm not sure where Sten is getting his in formation but there are certainly color grading possibilities with HEVC. Of course there are much more color grading possibilities with raw but that doesn't mean there are none for HEVC.

Also I'm not sure that there is a flat profile on the hacked NX500. Higher bit rate, yes. You can certainly get "cinematic" (whatever that means to you) quality with the NX500. You can achieve it with a lot of cameras. I don't think the camera is the limiting factor when it comes to this, however.

Funny to me too i swear, but for another reason. I gave correct information that helped people and they want it to stop. OK. I will stop contributing.

If you wanted me to stop posting you would have not allowed me to, but no sign or locking to my account was done so I freely replied to a couple of people without anyone stopping me. So it's your fault not locking me of if it's not possible technically,  at least sending me a message to say "don't post because you were declared guilty on out internet trial". instead of publicly posting a comment in HUGE RED CAPITALS :D

Don't get a seizure about me helping people on your forum :D The refunds are being made and will make them through PM, will not comment here on this thread, just PM, or anywhere else again, and you can ban me after I refund the poor men in PM, or whenever you want. I have no care. Good luck with it.

You confessed. I don't understand what makes you think you get to call the shots as to how you are handled and treated by the mods and members on this forum of which you confessed to scamming members. The entitlement is baffling.

A tad melodramatic, no? That quote could actually be applicable in many situations depending on your perspective; also your definition of "worthy cause." I can see those in ISIS and other Islamist terror groups thinking the same types of things about all of us infidels.

Is it not a good thing to critique/criticize bad ideas? Or any idea, for that matter?

Just wanted to say I'm proud of everyone coming together to help out three members here get on their way to get their money back.

It was an intense few days or so.  But this really, in a dorky way, felt like a real community.  A weird meta one, since none of us know each other in the real world, except for me and Mr. Coffee after a great skype interview session.

    Now I am crying.

I am crying and crying and crying and sobbing and need to get a hankey.

    Okay got it.

    Anyway goodbye guys!

    Till the next hot-buttoned issue!

Yeah, it's just a shame you were so quick to grab your pitchfork and want to ultimately ruin this young person's life/career. If you were one of the people that had been scammed, sure, I can see that being a normal reaction. It just seemed like you went out of your way to get involved and carry the torch of justice. I understand this is a community and we have to look out for each other. I just think there are better ways to handle such things. Give yourself a pat on the back, anyway.

Thanks for the answers. I did check that link, but I guess I didn't scrolled enough :P

The Samsung card is the one that it came with the camera, for now I'll stay with him. But probably can't get the 180Mbits with the hack.

You should definitely be able to use 180mbps. I'm using this card and I can use 180mbps reliably.

Well the two videos previously posted demonstrate it adequately. But honestly virtually everything I shot with it exhibited this trait. Can you post some examples where the blacks have details in the shadows? In my experience black detail is only preserved in very light shadows.

The two videos previously posted have been graded. OOC, I haven't noticed crushed blacks in the shadows. On the contrary, there seems to be a lot of information in the shadows.
