I'd not worry about the apps. With their cameras, they have opened it up to private developers . For instance, Fool Control . Which makes the cameras 100% easier to operate and even works as wireless focus for canon lenses. It is amazing!

I shot this hand held with autofocus an 85 1.4 wide open 1DXmkii at 120 fps while doing a still shoot . The 120 fps is a little soft but useable. Still needs to be color corrected between shots

Whats the big deal? Canon 1DX MK II does 16 fps with live view, and it works great. Are sports photographers going to switch over four frames a second?

Well, i love Reds upgrade program . It means that my Epic's value won't crash .

Wrong . Jarred announced this week on RedUser that Epic owners will have a new upgrade route to EPIC WEAPON and it will be a new HELIUM sensor . This is really cool because they gave Epic owners a year to upgrade to Dragon and then shut it down with no upgrade option End Of Line . This announcement instantly gives these cameras way more resale value. To bad other camera companies don't do this.

Red has just announced an upgrade path for RED EPIC owners to move to WEAPON HELIUM . This suddenly makes Epics much more valuable. I love RED .

Andrew, You make ridiculous conclusions . Saying that the 1DXII is not an advancement over the1Dx is ludicrous! Higher resolution, 14 FPS 16 with live view . Touch screen focus, Dual Axel autofocus . Better battery, significantly faster auto focus .

I thought long and hard about getting a C500/Odessey . In the end i went Red Epic and am really glad i did. Self contained 4K raw 120 fps .The RECODE compression is a thing of beauty . With everyone trading up to the new DMSC II bodies, there's going to be some really good deals on used Epics and DSMC I AKs soon. Also, red offers upgrade paths on new cameras.

Whatever camera he shot the Jaws footage with doesn't matter because it looks epic. But, what camera was it?
