  1. I'd say go with a Jupiter 9, it's a great match. The Tair 11 is also awesome. I use a 5D3 as well, and tested these with a Kowa B&H. :P
  2. Well, that's very "theoretically". I own both, and both start to vignette around 50mm on full frame. :P
  3. Hey Zmu, do you mind if I copy this post of yours into the Diopter thread? Never heard of these Focar before! :)
  4. I don't know if it's possible, but my LOMO should arrive in the following weeks and I do have a Panny around. I'll do the test.   Just in case, I believe it will work well on the 37-50mm range, and need a close up for anything longer.
  5. A Panny, with a desqueeze viewfinder (3.5" big, covering most screen sizes - even the 3.2" 5D3 LCD) http://www.ebay.com/itm/271209757449?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649   I've bought a lot of stuff from this seller before. :)
  6. Canon +2 72mm (500D, achromatic diopter) http://www.ebay.com/itm/330922992060 Tiffen +0.5 138mm (with a small scratch, so, cheap) http://www.ebay.com/itm/221227004384 Fujinon +1.25 72mm (WAY overpriced) http://www.ebay.com/itm/200809854263 Tamron +0.5 72mm BAYO (require adapting to regular threads) http://www.ebay.com/itm/380163187761 http://www.ebay.com/itm/310661150570 http://www.ebay.com/itm/140971813687 http://www.ebay.com/itm/380422763865 http://www.ebay.com/itm/170994348554 Tamron +0.5 72mm (this one is already fit into regular threads) http://www.ebay.com/itm/310670951174 Angenieux +?? 108.5mm (scratched, but huge. strength unknown) http://www.ebay.com/itm/140975037257
  7. I'm not so sure about everything in one topic, since if you need to update a particular lens, you'll have to do it twice: on its own topic and in the main topic mess. I think the one pinned thread must be the index, with links to all others. That way, anyone can open two or more different tabs with the specific lenses and compare them without much scrolling. :D The first post of EVERY lens will be the standard table. Excellent. If optics are still determined by math, dividing the focal length required to cover full frame by 1.51 or 1.13 should do the trick for 2x and 1.5x stretches, respectively. I'll confirm this with testing and update the lenses we have already. :)
  8. Yeah! That was kind of what I had in mind at the beginning, just didn't know already existed somewhere! Never been a big fan of Personal-View, more than once I've seen a thread go off-topic into some stupid argument between two or more members. :( How do we do that? I guess talking to Andrew is necessary, right? hahaha
  9. Kenko +0.5 72mm (cheap! go fast! - THREE AVAILABLE) http://www.ebay.com/itm//271207478195
  10. There's definitely something wrong with your account JohnBarlow! I just tried to send you a message and there is no such option available! Anyway, if you can go to the folder containing the files (link below), feel free to create copies of any file and modify it according to the lenses you know/have available. Can you do that? If you can't find your way around google docs, just list here the ones you can write about, and I'll create their files for you. :) https://drive.google.com/#folders/0BzVcUB-5ReiZajVncE9rYU9heDQ From yesterday to now, I've added about 15 lenses, as detailed as I could. In the list view, all the files that have stars beside their name are complete. In the preview, the ones with pictures are complete. There are MANY lenses that don't have their files yet, but it's growing fast, I think. Please, ask other anamorphic shooters to collaborate. :P
  11. What's the catch here? 2 Eiki 16-F for the price of one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/271206451719
  12. Does anyone here has an Isco-42 to fill in the blanks? https://docs.google.com/document/d/15WIt8nbcH3szUuH2RTnjHKi_F-RU32JLH2-iYwaHDn0/edit I've read the align mechanism is different. I can't find a decent picture either!
  13. I've sent PMs to many users (I think everyone in this thread has received one) asking them to fill the lens sheets. I'll fill all the ones I've already had. Please, take a little time for this, since I believe can be very useful to everybody! :)
  14. I remember reading in a thread on DVXuser some time back about a guy using a 72mm threaded 0.7x adapter (by Century Optics) in front of his Isco-36 and getting great results. I couldn't find it again, but will keep looking.
  15. Forgot to mention: many lenses have a rear diameter bigger than the EF mount, so, they won't even pass through. :(
  16. It's not anamorphic, but this guy managed to make an OCT-19 work with a 60D... I haven't found any more reports of that being accomplished (except for very specific lenses with a very specific adapter).   https://vimeo.com/19345609   I made some research too (contacting the guys behind cinemods and ciecio7 adapters, as well as some brazilian tech support) and the results are NOT promising. They all told me that even if I get the mirror removed, there still will be a HUGE ammount of PL lenses that won't fit. The best way to know which will or wont is measure the back of it, with PL mount already, and try to do the math.   Also, it does not cover full frame. Their ideal sensor is APS-C, or a cropped version of full frame (now possible thanks to MagicLantern's RAW Hack). I'm waiting for my 37-140 + Foton-A and already know it won't cover full frame from talking to other guys who have it and tested with a 5D.
  17. Googling around some time back, I came across these. Not sure how useful are they though. By the description, it looks like our kind of Isco.   http://www.google.com/patents/US5184880 http://www.google.com/patents/EP0467281B1   or this one (not so sure about it) http://www.google.com/patents/US6512636
  18.   Neither am I. It's bad for those starting now. Got mine for $400, sold for $1500 on DVXUser. And it wasn't hard. :)
  19. The video looks great. I think it's much more interesting than random trees and shit. hahahah   To me, it looks more like a rebranded Kowa B&H than an 8Z. What's the widest taking lens you can use?
  20. I guess I'm just stupid today! Two misses in two threads. hahahah It's better if I just stay on the encyclopedia for the day. :P
  21. I would say it has tripled its price over the last weeks. They went missing for a while, and overpriced on the comeback. :P
  22. Kowa B&H http://www.ebay.com/itm/KOWA-2X-ANAMORPHIC-Lens-for-Bell-Howell-VG-to-Excellent-Condition-Rare-/271206311011?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item3f2527e463   Kowa 16-A http://www.ebay.com/itm/KOWA-PROMINAR-ANAMORPHIC-16-A-LENS-/200924454165?pt=UK_Photography_Conversion_Lenses&hash=item2ec807dd15   Moller 32/2x http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anamorphic-Lens-Moller-Anamorphot-32-2x-CinemaScope-/230980564928?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item35c783b7c0   F'd up Vistascope 16mm http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-VISTASCOPE-16MM-F-600-CM-VIDEO-ANAMORPHIC-LENS-W-CASE-REPAIR-OR-PARTS-/221226734417?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3382241351   Vistascope 8mm http://www.ebay.com/itm/VISTASCOPE-8MM-F-400cm-Anamorphic-Lens-in-Original-Case-OLD-DELFT-Great-/111069735726?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19dc45ab2e   Eiki 16-F http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eiki-Anamorphic-16F-lens-nice-condition-/171039958334?pt=US_Vintage_Cameras&hash=item27d2c6a53e
  23. Oook, I managed to test some stuff at google docs and it might come in handy. I'm thinking about a folder with lots of files, and an index to point the all. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzVcUB-5ReiZajVncE9rYU9heDQ&usp=sharing Would be safe to assume that everyone who replied here so far is interested in helping? Could you PM me with your emails, so I can allow you all to edit the files? (this can be open to EVERYONE too, but I think it would be a bit risky, since I haven't found the subversion control yet.)
