Fact 1 : ES is a criminal who went to great lengths to steal from affluent people
Fact 2 : ES lied repeatedly and extensively. He is not to be trusted at all.
Fact 3 : There is severe poverty in Egypt (I have been several times). $200 to someone ln Egypt could represent several months wages. This is a lot of money, well worth the effort to set up elaborate scams
Fact 4 : ES was found out this time, but it is very likely that he will scam rich Westerners again, perhaps with more skill.
Don't trust him at all and try and prevent his criminal activity in the future.

I think there are valuable lessons that have been learnt in this thread and that it should not be deleted when the items have been refunded.
ES deserves for his name to be immortalised as a scammer because it is very likely that he will find other ways to scam people in the future and hopefully the presence of this thread in the search engines may protect his potential victims in the future.

Which will likely never happen. Thus the thread should remain. 

And as many people have pointed out, it is best to keep the thread up to help prevent future such scams from occurring.

You guys are awesome detectives.  The handwriting - well the m in particular is a very unique style matched in both with a curve to start at the beginning.  I am no forensic expert though I play one on tv, but I would say there has to be at least a 70% match.
most people write their m's as just solid.  
Also the r has the same accent in both.
As Andrew said, this is a criminal matter.
This is no laughing matter.
At least one thousand dollars was stolen from three users who have come forward.
 
Also again to everyone who was scammed and had their money stolen - remember you can call your credit card company and have them freeze the charge.  This is part of why you have a credit card - for fraud protection.
And also remember paypal and ebay also have scammers.  Just always be careful with buyer and seller.
 

This kind of statement is proof why nobody believes you... You cannot even acknowledge that a crime took place. I think it would be a good time to show a copy of that police report. Andrew has always seemed like a fair man, so any evidence to prove your side of the case would probably be in your best interest right now. 

this is all now getting a bit bonkers mad now guys , In Britain you are innocent until proven guilty , lets not have a lynch mob please !
shall we all get back to our craft of film making and leave the people involved in this to sort it out themselves.

ps I always keep the g7 at 800 iso or under , I shot 80% of the Pandora movie at 800 iso and I went down to 640 for the rest of it , this film is mainly all shot at night there are no day scenes in the movie at all , so the G7 let me shoot in the low light 3 or 4 stops under exposed that I like to work at to get the look I use.
So light your set for 800 iso , if you start going to 3200 etc and higher you will get noise ! thats life!! so use the camera in its sweet spot 800 and under .

the G7 is significantly better in low light than the GH4 it has a newer cleaner better sensor , you dont get those issues with the G7 , its very clean in low light blacks . its is noticably better .

There's always going to be something more to buy. I don't know that you "have to" buy a new system to get the look you want. I'd use more light, but in the same proportions, get the iso down. With 8-bit footage, I try to fill in the blacks a bit more, just a big source of fill to bring everything up a half stop or so. Sort of like "lighting flat" vs. a flat profile, and then push up the blacks in post. I never mess with faux-log or anything-log with 8-bit though, just seems to noise everything up in the long run.
By the way, on my screen at the posted resolution, there was no noise that really jumped out at me. Full screen there's a lot of noise in the mids, which is odd. But nothing neat video wouldn't work well on.

When I have time to set up the camera I prefer the ProRes 10 bit from the BlackMagic Micro Cinema, I love the BlackMagic codec, but normally for quick gig I use the GH4 that is far more easy for my taste: changing WB, ISO, Shutter Speed etc.. it's super fast, while on the BM it's quite slow.

With GH4 I started with Cine-D, but after some times I went for the Natural profile. I'd like to buy the G7 in order to have a nice little camera that could become the B camera when GH5 will arrive. 

Probably I never noticed that noise because normally I use a lots of light. I'll put more attention to lights next time!

It is something I'm considering for a web series: maybe it is far more easy to ADR six episodes of 5 minutes each then having perfect audio on the set

most big Hollywood films are ADR , Fincher has been doing it for years now , as it lets the actors craft a performance for the dialogue , I do prefer it as you get a much better contralled dialogue sound in the studio , also outside in a big city its impossable to get useable production sound as you have car traffic noise , airplanes, policesirens etc etc all messing up your sound , so I prefer crafing at all in ADR and post.
