PS IBIS or lack of it, which means not the same but here... oh boy, handy light weight and winner form factor make it sound a sweet spot straightaway IMO.
-
I particularly think 8K/60p is a step further. Overheating drawback as well as respective whining is past now and IBIS can be solved with a mere gimbal ; ) As simple as that. Hybrid concept up! EAG :- )

Good news : ) Redmi Note 7 with Snapdragon 660, Octa-core Max 2.20GHz coupled to 4GB: both rear cameras handle easily 2K/1080p 24 or 30 fps and the main one 3K, go figure... or even 3.5K is reached if you don't mind to drop to about 20fps. And half frame rate for the maximum resolution over 4K, as for the instance the selfie camera to reach 4224 pixels wide. Overcharging the autofocus feature will stress the memory you can monitor, though, very useful tool you don't have playing with the big boys ; ) Cropping to 2.39 format will definitely help. And clean the cache before each take. But, Redmi Note 9, Octa-core Max 2.00GHz with 3GB Quad-cam don't. Only one camera. Not exceeding half frame rate (30 -> 15 / 20 -> 10, no 24/25 on the App) with or without the memory fully loaded, independently of the resolution. I guess because of the MediaTek Helio G85 chip so I'd rather to only check a Snapdragon pick. I will still test the ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro I also keep but I don't expect any trouble as much as happens with the OnePlus 9 where even the 4th one, luma is working as well. Which means every case is one case, obviously :- )

True : ) Funny. But on the second part... throwing them out on Boxing Day looks like the Christmas of today ; ) Gifts to the individuals rather than remember the birth of Jesus Christ, commemoration which actually finishes only with the Three Wise Men or Kings' Day, as it is celebrated in my native country, as for instance. Or in Spain where maybe because of this the gifts are mainly addressed to children and postponed to only this date then? : D

On this model specifically... : ) If you'll pay attention to a post of mine in the previous page, you'll find a couple of print screens with the main camera and the wide angle one. On this OnePlus 9 Pro I can assure you the tele also works.
-
And once outcome is actually a combo for sure, we also have the Xiaomi 11 Lite option to look like another cheapest fine one (in the range of 250 euros) from this couple of samples:

I believe Poco aka Redmi for certain models can be a good experiment route indeed and I'd dare to give it a try... But you have here a safer harbour already tested and fine bet (BTW, I love my OnePlus, my best mobile phone ever : ) You find it refurbished in your country (I've just checked, Marty!) for €350-€250 ;- )

Look for Snapdragon 888 or not far, it should work :- )

I didn't arrive there yet. Only a tablet with me where I am now. And I was still unable to install the PC tools available from his source. No PC capable of much these days. As soon as I will have the new Apple to come, well, hands-on, more tests to follow under the radar then : ) But for his disclaimer, I infer exactly the same as you, yeah, I think so. If not, why such 10 - 12 - 16 nomenclature? It's applied to the DNG, I guess.

Hidden on the photo submenu you have how to set it up: And there's also through the whole camera lenses range an useful overlay clipping feature ready for easy monitoring as well a manual tap-to-focus alternative to AF, both able to be locked:
-
Yeah, it's simply amazing! : ) I tried on mine (OnePlus 9 Pro), where says unsupported, even though it does a classy job with the stock camera, no idea why goes only up to 30fps and not 120fps then. Eagering to see your attempt :- )
-
How many of you have used and how many of you have missed it? What's the beef? No ultimate fastest phone chip...?! ; ) I am using a €700 OnePlus 9 Pro Snapdragon 888 very successfully BTW ;- ) 25fps is not going now with the last version (8.0.7-beta2) since it says it is unsupported by my device, so I am using 24fps then. They should likely be pretty accurate on spot but bugs look like fixed, even along a beta version. And shutter speed is now possible to set up along ISO without any (variable and inaccurate) issues (from previous version since four days ago : ) We have now 1/48, go figure! ;- ) That is, pure and simple photography is finally possible on a smartphone! (you still have AF or how to lock it!) This is plainly the best software ever made for really mobile cinematography, period! :- ) I am fairly enthusiastic on this tool indeed : X https://github.com/mirsadm/motioncam/releases This requires a bit more of attention and support from y'all without exception or pick one: you're the last elitist on earth or you don't have a smartphone? ...or yet, no, I am not missing anything else on here : D

I found this post there from @dreamplayhouse and I see this type of posts shouldn't be lost somewhere spread in the middle of separate threads strictly from cameras subforum only IMHO (why not to also pay attention to the 'footage' suborum too? BTW : ) hence the thread suggestion here ; ) so, follows reposted that contribution of this fellow of ours then, to begin with:

That 4K 60p feature all included in such small form factor looks incredible, as we know the best cam is the one we can have at our side when the gap happens for the shot ; ) you might ask for an affiliate link because you've just given them now a new customer and a few others from my WOM for sure, thanks and kudos to your contribution on someone's else craft as usual, mate :- )

Walter Murch is a legend : ) He was one of our heroes and a bible for the whole 3 years (+ 1 of professional internship) full-time graduation program at the Lisbon Film School and we had there some other masters even personally such as Carol Littleton only to mention another one :- )
-
Even though, I don't refer exactly to the cinematography department but, why so much lovely pictures (at times)? If the content is repeatedly a continuous never ending déjà-vu of more the same, ad nauseam, to almost invariably make an intelligent guy or gal sleep? Blockbusters aka Hollywood barely get success to be beyond than a wider audience they need to be up. And this means to shorten the diversity of time and space the cinema is to be able to be understood by as many as possible. Seems a contradiction but it is rather the opposite ; ) This difficulty leads to nowhere or anything really valuable and... new. (EAG :- )
-
Don't underestimate yourselves guys, the most part of hollywood stuff is plainly garbage (EAG :- )

hey everything looks like familiar to me there... ; ) Parede beach (Lisbon), the land of an old fellow and house mate from my Law school period and very close where still lives another old partner in crime of mine as well where I lived a decade and a half ago... and yet, one of the most iconic locations of the Portuguese cinema (and where one of the James Bond's was shot half century ago BTW, the only one with Charles Lazenby as 007) : Very Portuguese faces indeed :- )

Nicely put : ) The flickering shots are part of a test, I doubt they would easily be used in the final outcome to end to be screened (slowmotion as for instance is usually used under other premises : ) but this varies from production window to some other degree people are interested to fit their product ; ) The things have changed a bit since The Blair Witch Project to not say a year earlier with Festen and Idioterne... - EAG
