Bit rate could be an explanation. I'd bet more on larger sensor heating with no absolute clue on engineering, though : -)

That is, it is much likely that another camera will cost much higher if not lots of "much"... BTW take it as mushroom effect. This is anything related to this camera in particular. Every camera requires that or another extra cost. This camera will always cost less than the most camera options. : -)

I firmly disagree. Every single camera needs accessories... Trust me, this camera needs the most affordable accessories you find out there : -)

I don't find it disappointing at all. What similar camera you have for the price? I get more than one solution for everything you've just mentioned... Every single one of them... This camera is still a milestone. You just need to know how to shoot with it : -)

Trust me, I'm afraid that wouldn't be solved, with the early production units at least. To work around is the only way to accept there's no perfect tool. It is up to you to make it work as due now ; -)

I don't see any inexplicable animosity against them. Only some skepticism from a few more centered in the other contenders. Those they mostly trust and want to feel confident with. It's all about that instead. I see these same usual suspects to salute the efforts of everyone, though. Also because the more players the better features and more affordable the gear is. Customers double their revenue. As well, those participants who understand better their own industry.
