BTW the film director and my partner in that production came to change and buy Blackmagic gear for his next film to follow a suggestion of mine. Still his current bet, I've heard from him. For the period along these last years, it is easy to search on google and find some other titles, mainly mere trailers for obvious copyright protection. With one or another exception, I guess. Also shot on Blackmagic cameras, one or another by my direct influence or decision. Not rarely against the primary wish or idea of the director or/and cinematographer. It happened! Before 2001, only TV, corporate and film school work as well a co-production multiple awarded in Venice shot in 35mm film, probably available via torrents or suchlike once it is already a twenty-year-old feature movie today. Follow your point, but playback is not so dramatic at all. Here's mine on a Windows tablet and handles perfectly well any 4K outcome, H.265 (HEVC) included: It's more about processor. Let's not confusing with Resolve, based on eGPU resources consuming, instead.

Free version brings some hardware limitations, better to buy a Blackmagic camera to include it : ) That's why they've addressed those speed restrictions. A pain to admit it, but pure fact. BMD has some ethical flaws to correct. Their business policies won't sanctify them... ; -) Yet, a bargain for what it is. Let's be fair, simply the best editing and grading software available. This playground was in the $100,000 mark some time ago. I guess three full years of film editing background + some extra year of full training as trainee in such field can tell a bit too : -)

I don't feel this with their cameras today. On the contrary, to be sincere. Aside these issues now reported. But, some arrogance from their side is unbearable. This should not be tolerant by us as their supportive and cooperative clientele. Dictatorships simply don't bring any help. I told you. It really puzzles me. Why? We'd need they may address the issue. It's rather disappointing. Without mention to lack some objectiveness to clarify it. I also can't be glad why a few models are cDNG capable, others don't. As far as reported because of a new display and its firmware, but this camera was announced with the possibility to hold cDNG when it is not even consensual braw is wide accepted as raw format. Despite its usefulness, ratio IQ and value. So we have now two distinct cameras as matter of fact? A Mark II or better to call it Minus Mark I too...? Is this acceptable? Ethical? Many fair doubts and complaints by customers and adopters can be raised for the subject matter. Who can blame such claim? From some other display to prove that really counts the way your footage is perceived, B & I take better position and clearly E for the river part as personal taste rather than in my previous impression. K stands a way more solid as close-up than wide shot for sure, let alone not only but color wise. I'll try later projected in a 100" screen from 4K projector to couple to same YT resolution source once it is available.

I understand your point and tend to concur. I just didn't do any test. And I found worrying some other people to involve cDNG too. Without mention, I am not a frequent user of BMD forums so I am not certain some other people hadn't noticed yet.

Hope you care and as Dennis and Glenn hinted, let's truly face it: movement and static shots is apples to oranges. Nothing clean and good 1080p won't resolve, no matter how hyped 4K is. We instead, we're not here for selling hotdogs... LOL ; -)
