I have bought Xiaomi, no buyer's remorse so far to be honest : ) Even though I think both should be congratulated on this release once it is a Samsung sensor anyways... Just that OnePlus 7T series has really impressed me with no 2nd thought : -)

Interesting enough indeed : ) However, I find their 2MP lens for macro stills (not exactly video!) pretty useless, rather disappointing resolution-wise... Let alone if compared with OnePlus 7T Super Macro mode, here's a 3456 x 4608 sample from regular 12MP (as written here "the new super macro mode uses the wide-angle camera together with a new motor to bring super-close focus to the 7T") :
