In Z6iii, normal quality NRAW for 6k24p is only 750mbs. Import the file in CineX Pro, and rename the .NEV extension to .R3D, then select log3g10. Thats your REDCODE LQ.

People already asking for Z8 sensor in ZR body with air cooling! One thing this camera did, even before shipping, is raising expectations from Nikon. I mean with 8k60p capable stacked sensor, and IPP2 pipeline, you get almost $15k Raptor Xe image quality, with IBIS, and 1 second boot time.

A product that satisfy everyone might become a disaster for the company. Cause nobody will upgrade to Version 2.0. So they never define a line in their design goals to satisfy everyone. Every iteration keeps some pain points to reserve room for improvement in those specific areas in the next generations. Cripple Hammer is not a broad crippling with a rough hammer. Its a surgery precision cuts with at least three gen ahead in mind. Of course there is always a risk of bleeding. But the risk of not having a plan is greater. RED and Arri didn't have such a plan, and ended up searching for a buyer who has.

RED raw was never in the rumored specs. It was "RED tech", whatever it means.

There is no drawback to have IBIS and not using it. 

Car wobble can be prevented by IBIS lock. Most of the heat comes from CPU and CFe cards, not sensor. 

Remember Nikon 1 system? That was also crippled by microSD. Its a Nikon tradition.

Why should it be a issue if you shoot raw? If its raw, the data is there. 

Just keep in mind to get "cool" cfexpress cards. Z8 has no serious overheating issue, unless you put a card that consumes a lot of power. There is huge gap in efficiency between some of these cards that nobody talks about (one of the reasons a reviewer says I got 1 hour and another says only 20 minutes). Angelbird CFe v4 1TB is rated 3.75w, but v2 that is slower is rated 2.4w. v4 sustained write speed is 2100MB/s (insane in such a small package) and v2 is 1300MB/s, meaning you get 60% higher speed for 56% more power consumption, which I don't think a good tradeoff, considering 1300MB/s is already fast enough, and I dont think you take too much 8k60p shots at highest bitrate. 

Serious landscape shooters don't need IBIS, but they improved it to 10 stop! Landscape shooters always shoot raw, but they added HDR Jpeg! Studio shooters shoot in controlled lighting environment, but they added LIDAR that helps in a random dark street! All the improvements, and even pricing, are in the direction of making MF mainstream, not serving the niche, yet it doesn't video, which is the key to become mainstream. 

With the new firmware update released today, view assist now uses RED Technical lut.
