  1. rather than sharpness, I like to use the word CLEAR. the images are clear, as opposed to blurry.
  2. As a GH4 owner I'd put it's colors far above and A7s and just below Canon. I think it's features and versatility and performance outweigh any concerns over colors.
  3. While it's a serious workhorse, the GH4 is the most fun I've had with a camera, ever. It's with me all the time. I got mine from Adorama as well, and their 3 Year New Leaf Camera service plan is a pretty good deal as well so I got that.
  4. for a nice viewer, just use http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ works great on mac.
  5. not to mention I really like light tripods, the wind catches straps and shakes the camera.
  6. Speaking of focusing in the dark. I've found the ability of the GH4 to focus in low light to be the best I've ever had in a camera. Anyone else have similar experiences with it?
  7. The focus beam on the gh4 is really strong, but on big lenses it does get obscured. I would love to see Panasonic program the hot shoe to trigger the focus beam in flashes, if possible.
  8. I just ran a burst mode test in Raw and got 42 the first time and 39 the second time. On the Focus Beam, I was told that Contrast Focus Cameras don't send out a focus beam. I was kinda bummed about this. I have a Metz 50 AF1 and it doesn't work on my GH2 or GH4.
  9. I wouldn't sell the C100 for any of those. Maybe next year's models of those cameras.
  10. the "looks like video" excuse will never die it seems. I'd like to see someone post some clips shot on film, pass them off as GH4 video and sit back and watch the herd shout it looks like video.
  11. I agree with what others have said, rig it up with a cage and matte box, shotgun mic, follow focus,... people will just ooh and ahhh over your rig.
  12. So much for the light leak theory. That looks like a serious defect to me, you might want to return it to Sony to get fixed, if possible.
  13. I'd make them all Function buttons. the shutter speed dial doesn't bother me at all.
  14. That was my first thought when I saw it. I'd try other lenses and see if does the same thing.
  15. This was so informative. Obviously you've done your homework Andrew. I cannot wait to see some new anamorphic shooting as a result of this! It's such a beautiful look. Panasonic has been great about listening to it's users. They might be up there with the very best, especially when it comes to it's cameras.
  16. Did you notice any tumbleweed rolling through the Canon booth when you stopped by? I imagine it was pretty lonely out there.
  17. I'm buying this camera "for my wife" She takes most of her pictures with her phone so I'm good to go. :)
  18. I think it's going to be around $1300, a bit pricey, but still really needs to be considered because of it's speed and wide angle.
  19. I was thinking this might be the only way I'd buy a Leica. It's not too much more and it does have that Red dot. hahaha
  20. This camera is worth it for the lens alone. I don't have anything that fast/wide for my GH4.
  21. That's actually a great idea because I was planning on buying the 12-35 as well. this could be a better option.
  22. Possibly the best product launch at the show this year. The more I read about it the more I want one. Excellent camera to keep with me at all times.
