These magic settings are a MUST HAVE.

Don’t take my word for it though. I am biased! Other filmmakers and Sony users have been busy shooting with EOSHD Pro Color 3.0 and Pro LOG. It’s interesting to take a look at some of the reviews, tests and films shot this way.

EOSHD opinion: smartphones are not killing DSLRs, apps and online services are

Apple and app revenue

It’s well known that DSLR sales are sliding now, following the worrying trajectory of compact cameras.

Then I read with great interest Vincent Laforet’s prediction that the era of stand-alone cameras is coming to an abrupt end for the mass market.

There was a very key chart in that blog post which you can see above. I believe it speaks volumes about why the mass market is migrating from hardware focussed imaging tools like DSLRs to innovative new growth areas like apps and services orientated smartphones.

Welcome to the newly re-launched EOSHD

Cooke vs Sigma

EOSHD has a fresh look to both the blog and forum. Both are now responsive layouts with the latest source code and web technology. Now EOSHD comes to you faster and easier to use than ever before.

More features will be added in the coming days and one I am especially looking forward to rolling out is EOSHD Soundtrack Compositions. This is the start of a long project but right out of the blocks I am excited for the quality of music we’ll be providing filmmakers.

EOSHD Soundtrack Compositions – New music service launching soon!

I’m working with two musicians, Hauptman & Friendly in Berlin. They are composing sound tracks for filmmakers which you can license for your own work and avoid the dreaded Copyright Match on Vimeo. Pricing will start at just $19.99. The cinematography reel I have edited above showcases some of my cinematography along with the score “Chains” written by Ofer Hauptman. This is in the early stages… I’d love to hear your feedback about what you’d like to get from EOSHD Soundtrack Compositions and how you’d want to use it. We won’t be going for quantity, but quality.
