*Panasonic G7 has no clean HDMI while recording
Panasonic G series has low bitrate HD
Every camera can spit out RAW dng (uncompressed b/c compressed is patiented) but almost all camera companies simply remove that code.

I've seen a lot of Canon apologists but this 24p stuff might take the cake.
“I just don’t need it.” Then buy a cheap camera that doesn’t have those features and save a bunch!
-
All it is is literally a sensor readout change to shoot 24fps. The codec used stays IDENTICAL otherwise. Why could licensing be the reason then? The canon t2i has 24fps. Did canon have to pay 5 million bucks? If so, why did they do so on their cheap plastic dslr?! Someone tell me the logic here lol

This is the 2019 equivalent of canon’s “Full HD” line skipping.
-
How high can you push the iso in the f3?
-
Canon. The first to make a revolutionary DSLR and last to make an awful DSLR!

Regions are weird. America has no-time limit goodies but Britain has cinematic 25p as standard.
-
It’s even worse in America. We have NTSC versions so we won’t be getting 25fps. Even if you could switch it to PAL mode, it may not play nice as 23.976 or 29.97fps are what places like broadcast stations here expect.

Hey, at least it won’t overheat because it’s water-cooled! Toshiba figures out this problem, why can’t Sony?

How does 24p h264 require a license when you can encode it for free with FFMPEG, which is open source?
-
So you think upgrading to a pc with a newer i5/i7 and using my graphics card, but using the free resolve, is better than keeping my system but using resolve studio and NVENC/NDENC?
-
Yes. Also h264 doesn’t utilize your gpu on the free version. Transcode your footage to cineform and the gpu usage shoots up. It also utilizes your gpu for rendering if you render in cineform. I have run tests on the free version to confirm this.

Pocket Camera comes with the full Version of Resolve.
You can buy a Resolve Dongle for about $170 on eBay.
Those dongles are usually fakes from what I’ve heard
-
Why stop there? How about 28 mbps avchd with line skipping!
-
Have you used ZRAW?
-
Pocket camera comes with resolve lite.

If there is ANYBODY on Earth that wants the RED pattent to hold up in court.....its Atomos.
If that pattent dies, everybody will do ProResRAW without Atomos.in camera.
Atomos wants to be the sole ProResRAW ecternal recording vendor....and they NEED this for their future.
Yeah. And I personally want the patient to die. Atomos has an unfair monopoly because of this. I don’t want to pay $500 to record raw over a crappy HDMI cable when my camera is capable of 4K RAW to the sd card. Magic lantern proves this.

Wow. Is there a safe way to get a used copy?

How far can you push the iso if you use resolves noise reduction?
-
Ok. Also I didn’t mean “banned” in the sense you thought but as in no longer allowed to discuss the matter until it ends. I will make sure to be careful though. Don’t want anyone here getting in trouble.

I thought we were “banned” from talking about this RED deal until it was over...

I recently purchased an rtx 2060 to use in davinci resolve. Unfortunately, the free version does not fully utilize this card. I have the option to either purchase resolve studio which would give me h264 acceleration with my GPU or build a new pc around an amd ryzen 5 2600. My current rig has an i7 3770 and 8gb ram (will upgrade to 16gb soon). What route would give me the best performance in 4K h264 footage?
Canon EOS M6 Mark II

Could be true. And remember the 1:1 1080 on canons is very sharp. 4K might be the same; 1:1 4K crop is sharp, full sensor is soft.
