  1. Not yet. But I;ve seen some tests on youtube and facebook and results range from significant improvement to no improvement at all ?
  2. So gaffer tape is essential for taping the ssd and the battery door. This is a cinema camera, you should always have a gaffer tape with you! Kidding aside, I'm glad this camera is already arriving to those who ordered. Hope to test one next year when the dust settles
  3. Any idea how to use these in the field, especially the Quasar science? I bought one and it has a short cord to 110v .I dont even bring it with me since almost all outlets I go to have a 220v and the cord is too short
  4. Heard there's some problem with the Atomos and Fujifilm with using vlog and lut. I think there's a thread here and dvxuser about that. Can't confirm though but just a heads up

Thanks. Been looking at vintage lenses but I'm not really sure how best to adapt them to MFT. I'm also looking for a good Contax Zeiss but Im not really sure which Contax to MFT will work. With the price of the old Contax Zeiss lenses, I'm afraid to take a risk because it might damage the lenses

Did you use an M42 to MFT mount for the Helios? Looks great! I bought a Takumar 50mm myself but can't decide what adapter to use on the GH5
  7. What is motion cadence? Like frame rate or slow motion? But I agree, I think the XT-3 is a better all around camera
  8. Yeah there's some technique to make the aperture clickless. Just never bothered to read the manual lol
  9. Enjoy your Voigtlander! Never learned how to declick their apertures though but that one's handy!
  10. I used to shoot supervise for VFX then add VFX / key out green screen / remove wires/ retouch faces in post and from my experience, I tend to see which ones are CGI and which ones are live action and I'm more impressed if they do something live than adding it in post like explosions, cars tumbling about etc. Like in Mad Max, you get a sense which ones are real, which ones are not. But I try not to look at behind the scenes footages of a movie especially before watching it or even some time after seeing the movie. It takes away some of the immersion where I was wishing they built something in the studio lot rather than adding them via 3d. But as much as I like live sets and effects, it makes more sense to create them digitally to save time and money for the studios.
  11. I was gonna say not the Hollywood please but it looks like it's the best among the Contax ones. It's just too rare and expensive nowadays ?
  12. Heard they're quite good and works with Sony NPF batteries. Any problems you encountered using it?
  13. I also suggest the Panasonic 20mm f1.7, followed by DJI 15mm f1.7 (cheaper version) then Leica 15mm f1.7, they're small and light and has good bokeh. But the fly by wire might frustrate you so I think you should go with the Olympus 17mm f1.2. Panasonic 25mm f1,7 too for for the price and compactness (just feels too light though because of the plastic build). I can't suggest the Voigtlanders for walkaround since they're manual focus and manual aperture and not weather sealed but they're great if you're not in a hurry. I personally like the rendering of the 17.5mm and 10.5mm Voigts and use them whenever I can.
  14. I think this is the concern from pocket and micro users that the P4k doesnt have that BMPCC factor that made that camera amazing.
  15. Will the clamps for the typical anamorphic lenses also work with the Lomos?
  16. Yeah looks like the manual one is better for the price. Thanks you for the tip!
  17. With shooting with the GH5 and usual mft lenses, I noticed you have to really have to add contrast and saturation go make it work, unlike shooting with a lens like the Sigma 18-35 which immediately gives contrasty images.
  18. Now this thread made me look at the compact sliders by Edelkrone lol. What do you think about the SliderOne vs SliderOne Pro? I never bothered with sliders since they look so bulky but now thinking of buying one. Is the pro worth more than the original?
  19. Had lots of write speed errors with Sandisk Extreme cards that I used. Went with Freetail Evoke and Prograde instead and never had that kind of problems.
  20. I don't know if it's wrong timingbut the Kowa's and Rectiluxes would have been perfect to pair with your GH5 with it's Anamorphic options ?
  21. Looks like there's still some stuff that needs to be ironed out with the Ninja V. Here's another concern but with anamorphic mode :
  22. The Wing sells for about 220usd? Wow that's great for that price :). Time to hunt for a used one. Thanks!
  23. I have a Mefoto travel tripod too and it's great that it can become so compact for carrying around. But I feel the legs are not that sturdy for heavier setups. The Edelkrone looks like a good addon. Thanks for the suggestion! How much does it usually cost vs a regular slider? Coz it looks like I can mimic a slider effect with my body, legs, and IBIS lol.
