You can adjust the skin tone with adjustments after your chroma key is applied.

Your key is not perfect, the key sometimes catches your glasses, than your hair. Share a few seconds with us and let's see if we can make a better key or not :) Cheers!

Thanks, yes i noticed the flicker in the hair and glasses, but only with HLG and Natural Profil. The first is V-log and there seems good.I will share the file monday..i am mit a home at the moment..

  3. Saturday i have to shoot some clips on a greenscreen from hockey players to make some gifs and pre game intros.

Is V-log a good option or is it better to shoot in a normal profil(natural o flat ) on a Panasonic S1 ?

Another Question: Does VLOG on the S1 need to be overexposed the way that SLOG does?

Yes, you can overexpose a little to (+1) only to avoid noise in shadow,

but not so much (+2) how you do it with Slog

this is shot at (0) and maybe was better to expose a little more...

  5. 5.Improved AF performance
    • It is possible to set [AF+MF] in AFC mode.

Is nice, you press AF ON in CAF and you can focus manual with the magnification loop

    • It is possible to set continuous AF on the live view screen in Creative Video mode or in other video recording mode when the video recording area is displayed.

    This one i don`t understand ?!

Question for S1 owners: I'm testing the Timelapse features and wondering what the bit depth & colour space is for video file created in camera. I used to have to import all files in Lightroom, do adjustments then export to folder then import to Quicktime then export as video file.

As I'll be mixing the timelapses with V-log 10-bit 422 footage shot with same camera it'd be nice if video file created in camera has same properties but I'm guessing no as options are only resolution and frame rates.

Or, anyone know an app where I can read video properties?

    Thanks

i think the timelapse file is 8 bit 4.2.0

Exactly,...so for the blue channel clipping, yes we have seen this for decades on many camera models. Some camera's are more resistant that others. However, with the S1 and S1H, we are seeing these cameras having an EXTREME sensitivity to blue lights. More than any camera I have ever seen.

Oddly enough, the same blue light test scene is 100% FINE when switching to HLG. And, going further, the exact same blue light does NOT hurt the GH5 VLog-L or HLG.

Even B&H's S1H promo sales video is riddled with severe blu channel clipping. That was a terrible way to highlight the S1H. Those guys spread blu light all over their shots! If I was Panasonic, I would BEG B&H to take their promo video down!

I "think" Panny can fix this, but of they can't, people MUST know that if you have blue light in your shot, like a stage show or wedding reception...DO NOT USE VLOG....you need to switch to HLG. Once that blu channel gets smashed, it cannot be repaired in post.

We need to raise public awareness about this. If you are doing a paid project, VLog could totally ruin you footage before you are able to switch to HLG.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET BURNED BY VLOG!

I get the same clipping in HLG. i can lower it a bit in post but is terrible when you have that blue points all around :(

Yes sure, I will try tomorrow ! Did not have time to really test the lens yet (more than a hands on try), but, judging by what I see on the lcd screen, it indeed seems to be quite awesome.
Can't wait to try it thinking I am Lubezki (before reviewing my footage ahah)  ?

Just took delivery of this(brand new Sigma 14-24 f2.8 for l-mount). I needed a convenient wide angle for landscape, astro and aurora photo, and wild field "documentary" plan for video.

The growing thread (for the Sony mount version) on the fredmiranda forum suggests this is one of the most spectacular wide angle lens. Some guys compare it to their Zeiss prime, others ditch their Sony G.

Can't wait to try it. Oh, and "only", 795gr... well balanced with the S1.

I'm in search for the same lens. I need it for real estate photography.

Can you post a sample in raw from a room, with a 3 exposure bracketing. Thanks ?

I got this cheap and cheerful one off Amazon for £26 and it works perfectly fine for me.

The 50mm lens tests that I did at the weekend in the lens thread were all done using it on my SL and it handled the additional stacking of CY>EOS, F>EOS and M42>EOS adapters with no problem.

I have the same adapter and works fine
