The guy should be banned & the thread should stay as a permanent record, for us & everyone that might google this piece of shits name. When you get convicted of a crime it stays on your permanent record & you have to admit that you're a criminal everytime you apply for a job or whatever you might have to do for the rest of your life! The same should apply for this idiot - he committed a crime & this should forever be his grave..

EOSHD peeps: I have sorted out some payment issues with Ebrahim Saawadi, and the other guys came to an agreement. This was one hell of a thread folks. Lots of mystery and confusion, and a lot of creative stories. I hope I get my money back as soon as possible.
I have a hand written letter confirming that he will, in fact, pay me what he owns me. 
We can drop it. Everyone will get their payments, and E.S. owned up to the dilemma. That's it.

This post reads like bullshit to me..  why not refund the money right now, since you are so well off? Why would you be banned for trying to get on here and sort it out? And why would you say that you have no obligation to refund the money, when you admit it was someone very close to you? Does this not sound like the tone of the young punk and his message on facebook? Is there an Ebrahim Sr, or has it just been a scam all along? If there are 6 people admitted as being scammed, are there really more? Has someone been standing too close to a nuclear radiology machine?  Did we really go to the moon? Will a hero solve the mystery, get the girl, and ride off into the sunset? Time may tell:)

I have monitored this every day read every post and I have left it all running while Andrew has been away filming,
I think the forum handled it very well , we have all been lied to over a long period of time by the highest rated member on the forum ,
A crime has been comitted with a web of lies and forum member are victims of this crime.
ES has no loyalty to EOSHD or its members we are all pawns to his game , he didn't care who he scammed the money from.
I would ban him with out hesitation.  everyone scammed MUST be refunded asap.
An example must be shown we will not tolerate this on the forum we all love and contribute so much to.
ES fate lies in Andrew's hands its his forum. 

What i did was based on emotion and acting quickly.
But I still think there is no other way but to play tough with a criminal,
and especially get the real world involved.

His presence as before, for sure. On the leftover, only him and Andrew can put their own wording on it. We should never ostracize a brother of us, especially when he is in trouble and gives us signs of problems where we can give a hand. I bet he needs more our help than this community is interested to give him. That said, it will be more failure of this community than anyone else, aside his sad contribution. But we're speaking about future, past is the one over now.

The breathtaking part of this though is how consistent, knowledgable and prolific "Ebrahim Jnr" has been. Quite stunning really. Crazy achievement. 
I'm disappointed to see though, despite everything, this entire thread contains aliasing and moire. Can't have everything.

Man that GX85 is a great little image. I would have sworn it would have been the worst of the lot, but it blows away the a6300... IMO. 
And it's damn close to the BMPCC. Interesting.

Almost.
A6300, BMPCC, gx80/85.
Used a Voigtlander 28mm with IR Cut. Used the same type LUT on all but the correct one for each, meaning for slog2, bmdfilm and a Rec709 generic.
After the LUT I set the contrast and lifted the mids.
ISO 800 on a6300 and bmpcc, 600 on the gx80.
Will do a side by side shootout tomorrow. Trying to decide on which to keep as a small grab n shoot for my camera bag when shooting stills.

I can read arabic, even though my vocabulary is poor. But I have a lot of Egyptian friends who can read and understand a police report properly. 
That said nobody here believes there is a police report bro. Or a 1DC.
Like others have said, you will feel better after confessing and making things aright with your victims. Then you can repent in prayer (if you do pray). If you are a muslim/ christian/ jew then you surely believe that the best lies and the most perfect scams are exposed in the eyes of God anyway. So be a man and quit this game- at least you can still recover some of your dignity this way.

Still no news from the guys who bought the 28-70 2.8 ai-s. I'm curious to see the picture of that lens as it doesn't exist.

Also, lots of people are questioning the validity of the people who got scammed. If you are one of those people (mainly on pg. 9), pm me and I'd be glad to share with you some of the discussions that I have had with Saadawi to prove it.

The big thing i also learned is yes...dont trust always what people tell you. You have to really trust your own eyes.
Cml... cinematography mailing list and cinematography.com and american cinematographer have real dps telling you what they do.
Colorist forums like liftgammagain also the same.
Dslr forums and dvxuser and reduser dont have as many working professionals. So take what they say with a grain of salt.
You can trust certain peoples opinions and sometimes not.
Like a dp i really respected lead me down a rabbits hole.
So trust your gut and always do your own tests!! My own tests are many times flawed.
So of course as most of you know...never trust what my likes or taste are either.  I am a weirdo.

Well, guys, I think, what me, Ed, mercer, Zach, Ebrahim and a lot of us have in common here on Eoshd is the enjoyment of community, encouragement.
Even if I might learn some wrong stuff once in a while regarding the technicalities of codec, exposure, resolution vs sharpness, etc., as long as it can
engage us to do filming, it´s an achievement in itself already. Most of us seem to succeed in that regard.
There are plenty of well shot pieces in the screening area of this forum. Would be cool, if the forums "usability feng shui" would lurk us more
into posting in that category.
