  1. I would say below 2K mark, but most probably is going to be the inverse
  2. ohhhh...that would be a very nice camera....but DPAF must be included....and the right price
  3. Well, probably I am in another universe, since I learned to shoot with an eClair NPR, and YES, it was film, did you ever hear about it?, and everything was manual, later I got an Super 16 eClair ACL II, a 35mm Konvas-1M and a 35mm Konvas-2M, and I had a lot of fun, YES, the three shoot film, did you ever hear about that little boy?, when you were playing with your little cars in the living room of your daddy I was shooting with these babes, and all was manual, measuring the light, installing those huge light alone and hacking the breaker to get enough energy for the lights, little babies of today with their digital cameras really don't know a crap what was really to shoot in the old days with very limited budget.....did you ever lifted an eClair NPR? or a eClair ACL? or a 35mm camera ever?, URSA?, thats a joke, the only camera similar in weight to my old babes was the Red One, the rest, not even close....and I have a R1 too, and YES, it is all manual!!!!!!......I just used the Konvas two month ago to shoot some interior scenes, still a solid camera.....URSA?, sorry, not even close......so, are you going to teach me how to do things manually?......hahaha, come back little boy to play with your little cards....you really don't know what was to shoot with film, to do the load of the magazines every 12 minutes for 16mm and 4:30 minutes for 35mm, if I want DPAF is because of I needed for some projects, I have a R1 to shoot whatever else.....and YES, I have been shooting manually all these years.....sorry....nothing to learn from you...
  4. I also don't want to be a white albino rat (early adopter) for the 4k pocket.....and probably during the the next months Canon make a move a give us a surprise with DPAF.....that will be amazing!!!
  5. The problem is that when you start using DPAF, you can not live without it anymore, especially in docs, anyway, this camera is insane cheap....too cheap to pass unnoticed, I am sure many GH5s potencial buyers are going to move to the 4Kpocket, of course is the camera works fine, and we do not get another brick like the A6300...
  6. Robert, I need stock footage about Pinballs, probably from a pinball event, what stock footage company could you recommend?, thanks.
  7. Strange, at the beginning looks terrible (no focus, noise, artifacts) and then at the middle of the pan become sharp, with Amazing colors, incredible details, well, I guess the starting probably is due to a bad compression and upload to youtube, anyway, if the real image is the one showed at the end this camera has nothing to envy to GH5s and others....the colors looks so good.
  8. I think people just get used to complain for everything that Canon release....this is a cheap camera, with Canon color, no overheating, 4K, intercheable lenses, and DPAF in HD.....for anyone who doesn't need 4K is a great camera, there are already some adapters to reduce the crop as @mercer previously quoted, even for people that doesn't need DPAF in 4K is a great camera ether (I need DPAF in 4K so I will not be getting this baby but anyway looks incredible).....so please guys, if it is not the right tool for you just move on and get a GH5s or latest Sony, obviously much more expensive cameras....
  9. Nobody really knows, could be a hardware limitation due to overheating or something else, but since the camera do has DPAF in HD, most probably is just a market decision....
  10. Internal recording is AVCHD 24 MB, external recoding is HQ ProRes 422.....
  11. Agree, the camera is not expensive at all, the price is right, and if it had DPAF in 4k will be a bargain....
  12. C100 internally is recording 8-bit 420, and externally is 8-bit 422
  13. I just took the C100 and shoot the sun with internal recording 8-bit 420 and external recording 8-bit 422, then in resolve I took the same frame for both recording and exported as TIFF, I see some difference but minimal, and I don't see the extreme banding showed before.... @cantsin probably you could play with the files and see how bad is really the banding in C-log... 8-bit 420 c-log 420_1.1.1.tif 8-bit 422 c-log 422_1.1.2.tif
  14. Thanks for your effort cantsin....very interesting your results.....I would love to see something similar for Canon C-log....8-bit 420 and 8-bit 422 are almost the same in your results and in canon C-log I am expecting a bigger difference...
  15. Sure it is going to be a little fun camera.....but in my case I don`t have the money to spend in a camera which I can not use for my projects....and I really need something small like this which I can hide in a small bag or use for gun and run without attracting much attention.....to be honest the crop didn`t bother me much......but the lack of DPAF in 4K was the breaking point.....ohhh Gosh....hope next iteration is sooner than later.....
  16. I need a small camera too, was waiting that the M50 was the one, but the lack of DPAF in 4K make it unusable.....we will have to wait a little longer...
  17. To be honest I did a lot of tests with a C100 using an external recorded and later compared 8-bit 420 with 8-bit 422, and yes, I did see some color differences in some areas of the sky, specially during sunset, but really nothing dramatic, and I never saw the banding which some people has showed in other topics, probably the 4K readout of the C100 is preventing this to happen....anyway I am still shooting with the external recorded....;) just to make sure!!!
  18. it is not 8-bit the issue, you should not have banding in 8-bit 422, the issue depending light conditions is in 8-bit 420, and probably 10-bit 420.....
  19. Well, there is no way that is going to happen, Canon is number one seller, and this camera is an entry level for soccer mom`s and uncle Ben vacation`s.....not for us.....we have to wait to see what Canon bring us in the next iterations...
  20. Clearly this camera is not for any of us....AF in 4K is just crap....unusable.....but this is good news anyway....we will see in the next iterations new Canon cameras with 4k and DPAF....probably with a higher price...but anyway worthy.....this is just the starting point guys......let's be patience...sooner than later we will get what we are waiting for.
  21. I see some potencial...very cheap and small camera with Canon colors....could be used to shoot in public places where you don't want to be notice, like an airport for example, also using the adaptors mentioned early by @mercer you can reduce the crop, you just have to find the right spot with your camera hidden in a small bag and let the actors to do their job, for doc also there is potential, but the lack of DPAF in 4K is really what hurt me most, if it had DPAF is a must have camera.....ohhhh too bad.
  22. Crap!!!.....don't mind the crop, but DPAF was a must.....anyboby knows how long will have to wait for the 5M II?
  23. ahhhh, I voted autofocus but color is equal important.....can we have the option to vote two times?
  24. I agree they are for different market, but still this baby is going to hurt panny badly in sell numbers, especially in vloggers.....
