  1. Shot in two days, with the Panasonic GH5, Viltrox EF-2, Helios 44M/Canon 85mm, Isco Ultra Star, Rapido FVD 16A » [yt is not allowing me to embed the video] What do you think?
  2. Sorry, I've got the T7, not the F7... Not sure what's the difference.
  3. It does squeezes 2x as well, but GH5's HDMI will output 4:3 image in 16:9, so it will appear as a picture in picture. Keep that in mind. I use Feelworld F7 which has custom zoom and custom anamorphic stretch options, works like a charm with GH5.
  4. Sorry, it's sold by now. I believe Helios was the widest lens I used with the GH5 + SB. I don't remember the exact numbers for the min. focusing distances, but should be somewhere around 1.2-1.5 meters.
  5. I noticed that it is a bit heavier the the SLR Rangefinder, are you able to mount it when shooting on the a crane2? Thanks!
  6. Yep, the tend to sale around 400 dollars. All i know is that they are based on a helicoid. Rapido have shown it's great quality, unfortunately it's cost much higher due the import charges to europe. So could these home made variable diopters be as good as the rapido? The wide open tests are great. The "B&H focuser" (as JSD calls it) is also great alternative, unfortunately, overseas again, yet i don't see a big compromise in the image quality. Thanks for your replies!
  7. Hey'all! I noticed on the anamorphic shooters facebook group that there are new "home made" single focusing solutions up for sale, especially from Russia. And the tests look great, it's sharp wide open. However, there is no background info. What do you think about these adapters?
  8. Same here in Slovakia, I was waiting for my ronin since august, so I cancelled my order and got a crane 2...
  9. So, if the rumors are correct: Panasonic is about to price the new camera in the 4000 USD range. Almost the same as the URSA which does raw. New mount, for pricey L-mount lenses. Sure you can adapt old glass, but than say goodbye to the "new AF technology". Sure, on the other hand it will give us a nice image, but these things just make it a lot less attractive.
  10. Hey, My track sharp ISCO Cinemascope 2x multi coated lens is up for sale. Awesome even in low light, you can shoot wide open! See the pictures below: 85mm at f1.8, Helios 44-M at f2, Seimar 135mm at f2.8! Shot with GH5, 4:3 mode + 0,71x SPEEDBOOSTER. Outside condition: minor signs of use Optical condition: some small dust particles on the outer glass, some microscratches on the front glass, please see photo n. 1188514 for details - no effect on the image quality Mechanical condition: focus ring working, focuses smoothly, the focus locking mechanism is somewhat loose, it locks but you can twist it whit greater pressure (still can be used with a rangefinder). Shipping from Slovakia to the countries of EU, please message me for a shipping quote. Pictures in high resolution can be downloaded from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10nu52UcrxQTCNA3YQ6dYg15OvRPKgcOh
  11. Be very careful with that seller, they scammed me twice, but ebay deleted my comment from their wall, not sure why...
  12. Hey folks, do you have any DIY ideas or solutions for adapting a rangefinder or diopters to the Isco Blue star? I believe the front has a 85mm diameter. Cheers!
  13. I just tested it out, it really works. We'll see if it's good enough to use it on the set next weekend.
  14. Mate, why don't you finally start a kickstarter for mass production?
  15. Here's another test video for the non believers :D I also added some info about sharpness and min. focusing distances on the ebay listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112943036749 Cheers!
  16. I don't know the exact mechanics behind the mod, but it is optical I believe and was added in Germany via a collector. I don't see why is it such a big "news", it's not a new or ground breaking technology. Here's a very quick test, but I will make a longer and detailed one soon
  17. You doubt whatever you want, Sir. Tested. Confirmed.
  18. Hi folks, my ISCO 2x anamorphic lens is for sale. It has a metal clamp on the rear end with 72mm tread. The lens is quite heavy, 1400g so you have to use it on a rig, you'll also get a basic lens support attachment for your 15mm rods. The minimum focus distances and sharpnesses differ. On my GH5 + lens turbo I've got a very small (almost unnoticeable) vignetting with helios 44-2, with min. focus distance of 2.5m when shooting on f2. I did not have time to test it with longer lenses. The outside has signs of wear but definitely still in great condition, the inside is clean, no scratches, no marks, no fungus. The lens got a focus-trough modification in Germany, so you only have to focus with your taking lens! The focus ring on the lens is still working, so double focusing is also possible. PRICE: 370 euros + shipping fee (shipping from Slovakia, EU to the countries of European Union). If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, skype videchat is also possible.
  19. Hey guys! Do you have any experience with Mosty SE 16 mm Anamorphic lens (sharpness, size, coverage, etc)? There is not much info on the web. Thanks!
  20. Well, I am a "long time" panasonic user and I feel like they totally shit my mind... They pulled out the GH5 early just to respond to the markets voice and the hype, but all the GH5S features should be included in the GH5. What was panasonics intention with this move? I will not sell my GH5 just to have the money for the GH5S. Screw you panasonic! I hope A7S III will come soon, than I trade my GH5...
  21. I own a Canon 600D as well so if needed, the aperture is set on that camera. But once you have the sigma 18-35 in your collection you'll find yourself always shooting open wide.
  22. You mean the stabilisation settings? Yes, only native lenses communicate with the body (or maybe the metabones as well, not sure). It's not a big deal for me, the camera remembers your previous setting, so next time you turn it on, it just asks if the settings are still right.
