Thanks for honest admiring the reason.
But what if lovable Harlem shooter was also sorry that came between you and your love affair with mr Gunn (which is - love affair - as real as mine with Harlem shooter) - but he also saw some other possible side of story so he simply thought he could say something that explore that other possible, and not ilogical aspect?
Of course, it is without importance if Harlem shooter or I or anybody else will find ourselves in position of being blacklisted by decision against certain characters in your view. (Actually, I'm sure that at least some of us here were/are in situation to suffer from witch-hunting.)
What I regret is that two quite founded strings of argumentation, that simply accentuated two different aspects of problem, has to be finished in a such way - because of one very loose Hollywood (so honest and uncompromising place to be part of) man/character that, as seems to me, always knew and know very well what  did and do and why - with interest in purpose.
In the other words - I feel that my lovable Harlem shooter is enormously closer to your thoughts, life position or orientation and actual choices than mr Gun - that doesn't deserve that honor to keep the smallest hint of holding love affair with you
    EDIT
"Everyone can see that the lovable Harlem shooter thought I was defending the amoral content of James' jokes" - oh no, I really didn't see it... if I think it is so, I'd  react differently... He explicitelly said it...

Well, mr Reid, I have to say that I also feel strongly (and totally friendly) that you are going too vehemently in this thread, and that you are deeply wrong about mr Kidzrevil - he wrote very politely and had coherent argumentation that doesn't at all deserved to be called idiotic or hostile...
I'd say - it was not for any good: banishing such enthusiastic and devoted member that - as long as I participate at your forum - really never didn't offended anybody and always tried to contribute in the good spirit and idea of forum, actually making it so distinctively-charming immediate.
And now so severe restriction and hard words...
But for whom actually you stand in this case? You pretty correctly quoted that director with bad (quasi or actual )pedofilia jokes - who already miserable sprinkled himself with ash, proofing about kind of his character, but you find yourself in the position to regret about his miserable apology instead of himself... And even more... is he really such a proven "artist"? Are you really sure that he has to be good example what "art" is? Is he any near the rank of Bergman, Malick, Tarkovsky, even Fincher, P. T. Anderson? He works as an replaceable screw with some level of talent  in entertainment industry and obeyed to its dictated rules, of course full of hypocrisy as every system is. Does he really obligate humanity so we have to sweep about his aborted entertainment contract of probably100000's $ which he probably will compensate on the other side of (always) both false front political wings?
Simply, I think that this case and that man doesn't deserve you to risk vocabulary/attitude that indeed is not at all your immanent and truly inner - let alone addressing it to that mostly lovable Harlem shooter and his dreams due to which he exclusively was your guest (and good representative) here

Wow... a couple of the most helpful and talented members (squig and kidzrevil) banned within a few days of one another for having an opinion... that’s a shame.

@Andrew Reid you TRYING to berate me with child like name calling...doesn’t add validity to your statement. Doesn’t make you sound smarter neither its counterproductive to what you’re trying to achieve here by labelling me an “idiot”. Like I said, peace. Don’t stress yourself out I’ve checked out of this conversation.
save that hostility for someone else who doesn’t share your sense of moral equivalency. No one is calling you a pedophile supporter you can calm down now.

@Andrew Reid see the personal attack was unneccessary cause I guess both me & disney couldn’t separate the art from the artist. I will never stoop as low as you have shown you are willing to go in this thread nor do you personal attacks on myself and others change my opinion about myself or the other posters in the forum. You would think you’re on trial w/ Gunn the way you are acting right now. You don’t have to be a dick to get your point across you know ? Especially since no one called YOU a pedo sympathizer we’re just saying those kind of jokes aren’t worth defending because they are tasteless and offensive. You speak about the bar being lowered but look at your responses *shrug* peace

Personally I think the P4K and a vintage lens is a winning combo.

I’ve been posting my work in the “share your footage” thread. You can find some in there and for a fact you did comment on my photography with the Pocket when I posted a website for my work a couple of months ago.

Anyway, I’m not talking about A look, as in ONE look. The beauty of higher bitrate, better codec/raw camera is that you can get unlimited looks. I assure you 99% of the “OG” look you’re talking about is hiding beneath multiple layers of color grading, added noise and compression. Just for fun, I’m going to shoot with both my OG and P4K this weekend and then match the footage and post it here to see if you can tell what’s what. Sounds good?

Just received word from Hot Rod Cameras that only 50 cameras have been shipped to the US. ( I assume these cameras were all demos for the stores ) as Hot Rod Received one. They did tell me that they have been promised that some of their ordered cameras will arrive next week some time.

Pretty much the same thing here in the states, only 50 cameras arrived this week, and all were demo cameras for stores. This info is from Hot Rod Cameras. I'm first on their list, and they have promised me a camera next week as they have been promised by US BMD distribution to receive another order next week, but they do not know the volume of the shipment yet.

Info for “Afterschool” by Jun Areia
Another shoot of mine with the Pocket 4K and model Bonnie Lee in Seoul! (Instagram @iambonnielee)
    Thank you for watching!
I went out the other day for a quick comparison between the Ursa Mini Pro and the Pocket4K in order to see how they can be cut together. While the results of that comparison will be out in a future video, I took the chance to shoot some extra shots and put together another video for the Pocket4K.

Since I have done most of the popular tests in my previous videos (Dynamic Range, Low Light, Moire, Motion Cadence etc.) this time I decided to go a little more careless and harsher on the camera. While shooting out the sun is always a nice test for dynamic range, I wanted to see how the camera behaves when the sensor is starving for light in those unpredictable nighttime city shots. When different street lights of various colors and intensity blend together, creating interesting lighting environments with irregular shades.

I knew that slow motion could give a nice feel to this particular concept but I wanted to keep it at 24fps as I think this could help a lot of people see the camera’s performance and feel, in shots and environments that you would typically see in feature films.

On the first part, most of the time we were under a thin layer of clouds with occasional sun beams coming through. The intro shot is part of the rolling shutter test I have done and I have decided to include it here as a little teaser. There are a few shots without camera movement that were shot side by side with the Ursa Mini Pro and I decided to include them anyways. The rest of the video is on the Ronin-S. All these shots in this part were shot at ISO400 and had minimal exposure adjustments.

In the second part, we are at a terrace between skyscrapers, near sunset time. These are actually shot at the building that BlackMagic’s offices in Korea are located and I've shot them right after a workshop where I presented my works so far with the camera. These are all ISO400 shots, without any particular adjustments.

The next and final part is the most interesting as I have put the camera through some very challenging situations. From ISO1250 up to 5000, I filmed without caring what direction the lights are coming from and how it should be filmed professionally. I just filmed it – video logging style. There are many parts that we are filming against lights and Bonnie’s face is completely in the dark. In all the footage though you don’t actually see the reality of the environment. You see, when I film at about f2 and at ISO3200, the camera seems to be seeing brighter than what my eyes can see. The environments I have filmed, especially the walking shots with the fruit and the flower and even worse the one by the river are environments unthinkable for filming. Mobile phones just show black screens and we can barely see where we are stepping. Yet, somehow, we managed to film. Some lights might seem bright and mistakenly make you feel like there was some kind of light; the reality is that those lights were much dimmer than what they appear to be in the footage. At one shot by the river, I have opened my 50mm lenses at f1.4 (f0.9 exposure, f1.7 FF equiv. FOV via speedbooster) for some bokehlicious shots and I wasn’t disappointed. Finally, at the alley part, there were some very harsh shadows but it was still really really dark. It was that combination of random street lights in the dark that I wanted to try. I was really satisfied by the roll-off on Bonnie’s skin, especially at such a high ISO. Yet, I have escaped with clean usable footage that after a slight chroma de-noise was ready to go (the camera doesn’t apply any kind of de-noise). I have intentionally left any luma noise untouched as I think it’s aesthetic and reminiscent of film grain.

Like my previous Pocket 4K footage, I have shot everything on my own. I haven't used any additional light or lighting technique such as diffusion or reflectors. I didn't use any filtration except the NDs. There were no particularly planned shots as we were running through ideas and filming freely. Color grading wise, I applied some basic contrast and saturation and then did white balance adjustments to taste. Finally I applied a touch of my favourite film emulation. I didn't do any further color correcting such as skin refinement, power windows, sharpening and so on, as I liked people to see the result that was coming out of the camera without any particular coloring.

You're probably right about him not receiving a pre-order, but the guy does have a few feature films in Hong Kong, maybe that was his ticket?  Either way, he's got camera, and we dont make those decisions... 🤷‍♂️ Your post make it seem like you'd be happy if no one get's the camera because you didn't.
Anyway, It's your site, I'll leave you to it. No more responses from me on the matter.
