Sensors do have a colour signature actually, it's not all just down to interpretation of the bayer data in software. The hardware makes a difference. CCD sensors vs CMOS for instance...
The quality of micro lens, signal to noise ratio and the analogue to digital conversion onboard the sensor all impact colour.

99% of the top end film industry still uses s35. Perhaps more. A few people like Nolan experiment here and there, but that hardly shows a seismic shift towards large sensor.

I can see you love fulI frame, but is not S35 the defacto standard in film? And the Samsung sensor size is aps-c/s35. Also the Samsung is 6k down-sampled to 4k. The new model is rumored to have better DR, and 60fps 4k. With the h.265 HEVC this should be feasible. I would not be too sure that no one will cross shop the Samsung and the Sony.

​Sensors don't have colors, but the internal image processing sure as hell does. Actually, the Bayer filter array also has physical colors associated with it and not everyone is using the same colors. Still, it'd be one thing if we were all grading 12/14 bit raw output off the camera sensor but we're not talking about that. We're talking about video recording in 8 bit 4:2:0, which means the camera's color interpretation is heavily baked in. You can't just hand wave away the intrinsic color settings of a camera because of color grading. Color grade those blue clipped highlights, why don't you?
On the flip side, often times these cameras have surprising settings that produce great colors. Andrew's done a great job of documenting these in the past, for example the 'Sunset' trick. It remains to be seen whether the color science has been changed or improved in this new camera.

You referring to color science or bit depth? From what I've seen the nx has great color science.

​100% absolute positivity this will not happen with A7s II........ At most A7s may do 120fps at 1080p, it is quite insane to even think they can get 60fps at 4k when we will be lucky to have it at 24/30.

Sandro, this 120 fps bug should be fixed in latest firmware. Also (with Samsung lenses) it stays in MF mode after recording video.

​Im thinking after this announcement, they will probably release a fw update with an "extreme" feature update. I also believe they dont need to go FF, but having an adapter (metabones or such) would be totally killer for the NX1.
I still dont get why this camera isnt being sold like hot buns, not many people know of it, and a lot of people who have it, seem to be using it as a "point&shoot" with the kit lens, im not sure if the camera was properly marketed or not, but it should be marketed as what it is, a pro-level camera.
 
I was thinking though, does anyone remember the 5Ds and 5Dr ?! Yeah, pretty much dead on arrival...

The Samsung NX1 colors look great.

Sandro, something like that has been tried before with no luck, but one more attempt would not harm. There should be two 'sections', one with suggestions, one with bugs. Ppl should be able to upvote, so to change the order of priorities in the list.

Samsung should really create a bug tracker system. If it doesn't exist I will gladly make one so we can collect all bugs for engineers to see.

FYI: I did some comparisons between the 16-50 S and my dumb-adapted EF-S mount Sigma 18-35 f1.8 on the NX1.  Sharpness, resolution, and color rendering were noticeably superior on the Sigma, which also had better build quality and zoom ring action. I returned the 16-50 S and am currently using a manual focus-only setup until Sigma or another solid 3rd party (hopefully) begins to make autofocus lenses for NX. 
I upgraded from Canon as well- there have been lots of tricky little workflow things to solve in making the transition.

I am not happy that some of so clear issues were not fixed.

all from a 10 sec test. And noise at 400 iso was cleaner or similar on nx1 than a7s. I have big hopes for this camera.
 

Yeah, while every update is most welcomed, not many are here from that list. Let's hope it's just a matter of time.

Sandro: nx1 is a great camera. Last week a friend with a 7d almost started crying, after seeing how my nx1 performs.

You can get adapters so you can mount your Canon lenses on the NX1.

​You're dead wrong on Video.
I dont believe FF will actually become the norm in video, because the excessive bokeh isnt necessary since we're emulating the Super35 look, unless low light performance like the A7s becomes the standard for FF, which wont probably happen in the next 5 years.
 
APSC isnt dying, its actually growing, lenses like the Sigma 18-35mm give spectacular performance and FF like images on cheap bodies, while retaining high burst rates, adding the high megapixel count that most APSC bodies have (like the 28mpx on the NX1 and 4K) I cannot see how anyone would think APSC is dying in either photography or video.

The Nx1 says you're wrong...

Only a few FF cameras are actually better in low light than those with smaller sensors though
